What are the potential "consequences"/fallout from this?

Hard to say. She is not being charged at the moment. But if she will be, I wonder if the British aristocrat she is rumored to be dating would drop her (not like the British aristocracy are the best behaved bunch, e.g., the Spencer sisters).

If she isn't, it will probably blow over.

Yikes, poor Kate this week, between this and James', um, interesting cakes. :shuffle:

I'm seeing a lot of sites saying that she might be charged. Maybe I'm just dim, but with what? Questioning, sure, but she wasn't the one pointing the gun, (presumably) the gun isn't hers, and what the driver does isn't under her control... right?

In other news...Lady Louise is doing well after breaking her arm on the weekend...

Daily Mail ~ Don't blame my pony, says Lady Louise after breaking arm in fall (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2129915/Dont-blame-pony-says-Lady-Louise-breaking-arm-fall.html)

Express ~ LADY LOUISE NURSES BROKEN ARM (http://www.express.co.uk/ourcomments/view/314680)

Love the image of little James w/his toy doctor set "looking after" his big sister. :)

I am not sure about the charge either. Poor taste for grinning when someone's pointing a gun at someone else?

Grinning or in poor taste?

I think she has a great taste in clothes, like her sister, at the very least.

I've always had such a great amount of respect for King Juan Carlos of Spain for how he was able to pull his country together after the Franco regime. A fair bit of that is now gone after learning about how he was spending his holiday time...

Daily Mail ~ Spain's King Juan Carlos has emergency hip replacement after falling during Botswana elephant hunting trip (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2129715/Spains-King-Juan-Carlos-emergency-hip-replacement-falling-Botswana-elephant-hunting-trip.html)

Why Elephants? I don't care it's legal in Botswana, they're still an endangered species, not to mention such noble animals and...I still don't believe it. And then there's the other fact that HM decides to jet off on this massively elite holiday while the majority of Spain is in a very deep recession, maybe even depression.

Elephant populations do better in the countries where hunting them is legal. Otherwise, locals poach them to sell ivory and just shoot them for destroying crops, houses, fencing, and killing people. Without hunting and safari value, they're really just very big, extremely dangerous pests to the local population who don't have much motivation to protect them or regulate the population with paid hunts rather than just killing howevermany they can whenever the can.

Charismatic megafauna look very noble and all that when you don't have to deal with them trampling your crops, knocking down your trees, or charging you because you ran into a bull in must on the wrong day.

I even had an e-mail this morning from Cunard Club, wishing HM the Queen happy birthday from the Queens of Cunard (the Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria, and Queen Elizabeth.) They included a picture of HM looking quite spiffy in a lavender hat! I envy her ability to wear hats.

Forgive the double post, but this deserved it's own post...

HM Queen Daisy wasn't the only Danish Royal who celebrated a major milestone Birthday this week...

Official Danish Royal Family Website ~ Princess Isabella : 5 Years (http://kongehuset.dk/Menu/foto--video/fodselsdagsbilleder-fra-balkonen)

Her fifth was Friday and those pictures were taken by her Mom, Crown Princess Mary. I love the one where she's playing shy w/that big beaming smile. Lovely.

Happy Belated Birthday little Princess!! :)
