Kate and William are on a ski vacation in France.

Thanks for sharing - love the remarks from her new uncle-in-law!

I'm not that fussed about Kate Middleton, but maybe that's because I've read so much Tudor history and it's always Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Catherine Howard and Katherine Parr. Who knows, maybe under different circumstances she would have chosen to remain a Middleton, wearing the name of her family proudly. Perhaps she is pleased that no one is forgetting her own identity.

Sure, it's technically incorrect, but the Duchess of Cambridge is rather a mouthful for headline writers, and so many do feel an affection for her and wish to call her Kate, the name she went by her entire life before this.

I see several Monegasque royals (http://news.daylife.com/photo/02jB4IqgmNbKq) were on hand (http://news.daylife.com/photo/0g4W9JA4zscUu?__site=daylife) to watch the preliminary round at Worlds yesterday; no sign of Charlene, however - maybe she's not a fan? BTW, does Princess Alexandra still skate?

Brand new pictures of HRH Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway (http://www.kongehuset.no/c29496/fotoalbum/vis.html?presse=1&person=71299&album=83645)

She is growing into quite the beauty.
Wow, she's really starting to look like CP Mette-Marit!
She looks like both her parents, I think. Lovely pictures.

I find Bill and Cathy Cambridge funny, but then I do love TLo. And at least they're not calling her Kate Middleton.

AFAIK, Princess Alexandra does still skate.

I've been wondering if depending on how well Javi does in the SP, if we'll be seeing Felipe and Letizia attending. IIRC, Felipe's the President of the Spanish Olympic Committee and also an Olympian and he really does his best to be there at the event to support a Spanish athlete when there's a medal and/or Championship on the line, so...Maybe?

A miracle!! An actual miracle!! A Daily Mail royal related article w/no nasty comments in it...

Daily Mail ~ Royal couple reveal new heir to the Swedish throne as three-week-old Princess Estelle has her first official photoshoot (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2120887/Royal-couple-reveal-new-heir-Swedish-throne-week-old-Princess-Estelle-official-photoshoot.html)

Also, Queen Beatrix and Princess Mabel have issued a new joint statement regarding Prince Friso...

The Dutch Royal House ~ Official Statement (http://www.koninklijkhuis.nl/nieuws/nieuwsberichten/2012/maart/dankwoord-van-hare-majesteit-de-koningin-en-hare-koninklijke-hoogheid-prinses-mabel/)

I didn't see anything over there that would translate it into English, so if anyone could, it would be appreciated.

It's basically a thank you to Dutch society, especially those who have expressed their condolences, well wishes, prayers, sent flowers, offered support and encouragement etc. It's a difficult and uncertain time, the compassion people have showed means a lot to them.

Or something like that!

edited to add...Okay, before I forget to ask this *again*...

As I've been watching the Dance from Worlds the last two days, maybe I'm seeing something there I'm not, but...

Is it just me or does Penny Coombs look wee bit like Sophie? Maybe it's the hairstyle, but both yesterday and today there were times while watching her and Nicholas skate I did double takes.

I don't have a link, but I'm seeing reports on Twitter that Autumn Phillips gave birth to a daughter yesterday, Isla Elizabeth Phillips. What other middle name could they give a jubilee baby??? Lovely.

My parents moved and gave me a file cabinet of all the family stuff and I found my Great Grandmothers scrap book on the royal family. HRM Elizabeth and about her wedding, and her out on the town stuff. I need to scan it and share.

Hard to believe isn't it Latte? My Mom said the same thing when I told her.

Daily Mail ~ Hats off to them! Royals out in their finery for Queen Mother and Princess Margaret's memorial service (even Beatrice's hat is a winner) (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2122726/Hats-Royals-finery-Queen-Mother-Princess-Margarets-memorial-service-Beatrices-hat-winner.html)

Only one slight problem w/that article...Unless things are really worse w/my eyes than usual, I don't *think* that's her husband walking w/the Princess Royal in that one photo...

Beatrice, who has lost almost two stones in weight, has been keeping her figure trim with regular personal training sessions and is tomorrow due to start and take part in the National Lottery Olympic Park Run, which will see 5,000 members of the public become the first people to cross the Olympic finish line.

Good for her!!

:) certainly not the Princess Royals' hubby in that pic but loved the ones of Harry and Sophie!! Once again the Countess of Wessex is totally stylish and she has such a beautiful smile. Eugeine and Beatrice are always going to be inclined to gaining weight as both of their parents are that way inclined so good for them at working to keep it off - both of them looked stylish and lovely yesterday. And one again HM looked amazing in lavendar - she has rarely put a foot wrong in her outfits in recent years - and is the one person who can carry off the block clours so many designers hate. She and her dresser knows what suits her and it is serving her well.
