Queen Margrethe looked wonderful in both the all-white ensemble and the velvet gown she wore for the Gala.

I haven't seen any actual announcement, or w/all of the other announcements of Royal Babies on their way, I just missed it, but...Reports are that Prince Nikaolos and Princess Tatiana of Greece are expecting their first child.

As I said...Not confirmed, but it's out there so thought I'd mention it.

As for Babies that are due at any time....No news from Denmark, but going by that picture of Princess Marie on the Balcony during last weekend's Ruby Jubliee Celebrations, she looked really ready to literally pop there and then. It wouldn't shock me if we hear of a new little Prince or Princess for Denmark sometime between now and next Tuesday.

Personally, I'd love it to be a little Princess. Not only would it be lovely for Joachim to have a little Princess to spoil, but Isabella and Josephine need a Royal girl Princess cousin on that side of their Family too. :D

However...So long as everyone's healthy and nothing scary happens during Labour and/or the Delivery, that's the most important thing of all though. :)

Not necessarily a "royal issue" but Royal Ascot has banned fascinators at their upcoming thoroughbred race meeting. Apparently, only a proper hat will do. They have also dictated length of dress/skirts worn.

The popularity for elaborate fascinators, which are a cross between a hair accessory and a mini hat, continued last year after the Duchess of Cambridge wore a feathered one on her first official engagement in Anglesey

No Fascinators unless you want to go to the Tower (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-berkshire-16607875)

How "modern and stylish" of them. NOT.

To mark the 8th Birthday of HRH Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway, the Court has released new Portrait pictures.

She's really starting to look an awful lot like her Dad. Adorable young lady.

Hey, better that than "get your Preak on." Even Churchill and Pimlico have tried to crack down a bit on the drunken infield trashiness and they're not nearly as formal as Ascot.

Though I would pay money to see someone turn up in a My Fair Lady broad-brimmed hat and hobble skirt...Hey, meets the dress code...

What lovely photos of a charming young Princess!
Happy Birthday to her.

Saw Ann Diamond there once and that's pretty much what she was wearing. Of course that was a long time ago.

I agree with the restrictions - there's always the Grandstand area or the Silver Ring where the requirements are less strict. The Royal Enclosure should be more formal, IMO.

I had a dream the other night that Will and Kate were staying at my house. I was concerned that I only had one bathroom, didn't have any servants and that they were going to generate a lot of laundry.

Did you wake up in a cold sweat or thinking you had to check and make sure you had enough towels handy? I actually hate dreams like that, but they're just *so* real and you could swear it was really...Well...*Real*. :)

Rumors in Copenhagen are that Princess Marie has been spotted at the hospital where all the Royal Babies have been born the last decade. No official confirmation, but...Perhaps the Danish Royal Family will have it's newest member by this time tomorrow night?

I do have this feeling though that little Prince or Princess will arrive before Tuesday. Strictly because IIRC, Marie's original due date was early January and we're well past that now. I just hope all goes well and that we're trying to guess the little one's name very soon. :)

Happy Birthday, ma'am! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zm7_MN2aihk) :cheer2:

I get that there's a difference betwixt the Norwegian Royal "House" and Royal "Family", but if I were old Harald, I'd toss my grandson Sverre Magnus an "R" for his "HH". Just sayin'.....but then again, I'm a younger brother, too..... :shuffle: Alas, I guess they're going for a lean, mean Monarchy machine, I can respect that. :)

More pictures from those too adorable Danish Twins First Birthday...

Pure People ~ Le prince Vincent et la princesse Josephine en famille pour leur premier anniversaire (http://www.purepeople.com/media/le-prince-vincent-et-la-princesse_m772519)

Scroll down the page to see the rest of the pictures. They really are too adorable for their own good. :D

As for news on their newest cousin...It was a false alarm last night, *but* the Staff of the Hospital have also drawn the blinds/curtains of that particular Delivery Room. The only time that has happened according to Danish posters at TRF, is when a Royal Birth is expected at any time.

The better to block out those telephoto lens after all. :)

Sophie opened a new school last week, but it's what took part during that visit that had me going, "Awwww...."

Biggleswade Today ~ Royal visit to Lakeview School (http://www.biggleswadetoday.co.uk/news/education/royal_visit_to_lakeview_school_1_3427390)

The princess also met a number of pupils. One girl told her: “The princess is coming to my school”

Her Royal Highness replied: “I’ll let you into a secret, I am her!”

As I said, "Awwww!!!" :D The picture that goes along w/that article is one of the best I've seen of Sophie. She really seems to have come into her own this last year and good for her!!

edited to add...More from that visit...
