We have our First Royal Baby of 2012!!

The Royal Forums ~ Itís a boy for Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid & Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein (http://www.theroyalforums.com/34718-its-a-boy-for-sheikh-mohammed-bin-rashid-princess-haya-bint-al-hussein/)

They've named him Zayed.

Congratulations to the Parents and Families!!!

Welcome to the World Little One!! :)

edited to add...Remember when Kate made that, what was supposed to be, a private visit to a school where The Art Room has one of it's programs at when she was researching what charities to Patronage? Also remember the criticism she was nailed w/for not dressing how others thought she should have and also "disappointing" the children who waited for her out in the Playground? Even after it was disclosed it was the Headmaster of the School who had delusions of grandeur about the visit, treated it like it was an Official Engagement instead of a Private Fact Finding one and was the one who had the kids out there on what was a horrid day weather wise?

Well...The plot thickens...

Islington Tribune ~ Kate's jeans and Jumper mystery solved - Duchess of Cambridge was asked to dress down by school head (http://www.islingtontribune.com/news/2012/jan/kates-jeans-and-jumper-mystery-solved-duchess-cambridge-was-asked-dress-down-school-he)

So much for not dressing approriately...

I wonder if they bought him a pony yet....(Sheikh Mohammed is in racing and endurance riding, Princess Haya is high up in the FEI.)

She's actually the President of the FEI, so very, *very* high up in the Organization. :)

As for that pony...Wouldn't shock me if it isn't already in the Royal Stables. The Dubai Royal Stables and Breeding Program is one of the best in the World and deserves it's reputation too. I forget how many Championships they won at The Breeder's Cup (The Worlds of Horse Racing) in November, but I do remember it was quite the haul.

Such gorgeous horses come from their Stables too.

It's almost January 8th here, but I know it is in other places of Canada and the World, so w/that in mind...

Happy 1st Birthday Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine of Denmark!!!

It really does feel like yesterday I was haunting the various Royal sites and boards out there waiting on the news if Crown Princess Mary was on her way to have the Twins. Time certainly does fly. :)

edited to add...Meant to post this and forgot until after I'd hit post...

CNN ~ William and Kate pledge support to veterans (http://www.cnn.com/2012/01/07/world/europe/uk-royal-war-horse/index.html)

And with the costs of war at the forefront of people's minds, Kate and William will also announce Sunday that they and Prince Harry are to dedicate much of their fund-raising efforts to helping reintegrate military veterans into civilian life.

The Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry is to work in partnership with the Forces in Mind Trust, a charity that aims to help veterans who are struggling with issues such as poor mental health, financial pressures, addiction and family breakdown.

This is such a natural choice of cause for both Princes to support w/the both of them being serving members of the Military. Factor in Kate's Patronage of Action on Addiction, which will sadly see an upswing of the people they're helping being former Military personnel who had served in Iraq and/or Afghanistan the next few years**, and it's a perfect fit for all three of them.

Looking forward to seeing the pictures from the Red Carpet later tomorrow/today.

**Please don't take offense over what I posted there, as many who served in any type of intense Military Operations such as Iraq/Afghanistan, end up "coping" w/what they saw and/or did over there by turning to Alcohol or Drugs or whatever the type of Addiction. I remember watching a piece on CTV National News a few months ago where an Addiction worker in one of the Centers out in Alberta was worried because there's so many people now entering their Program that did serve over in Afghanistan, and on the waiting list, that they just can't keep up w/the amount of people that need their help.

Here's hoping that Harry, William and Kate's decision to be patrons/sponsor this charity through their Foundation, helps bring in the badly needed dollars/pounds/euros needed.

edited to add...Victoria and Daniel, along w/her brother Prince Carl Philip, welcomed the 2012 World Jr Hockey Champion Swedish Team home yesterday. This is Sweden's first Gold Medal in 31 years, so you can imagine the reaction to this over there. Anyway...As part of their Homecoming, the boys had a gift for the little Prince or Princess that will arrive in March sometime...

^ I call Camilla, in the Billiard Room, with the candlestick.

No, no, no, Fergie, in the library with the lead pipe.

I've got a good idea - let's make jokes about the murder of a young woman just because she was found on a Royal Estate.

There's more than one Jubilee this year! :cheer2:

HM Queen Margrethe II of Denmark is celebrating 40 years on the throne this coming week. :)

Here's the schedule (http://kongehuset.dk/english/Menu/material/40th-jubilee-as-reign/programme). Fingers crossed for nongeoblocked programming, though Danish Radio has a rather reliable YouTube channel.

And a what a present it would be to welcome her next Grandchild that's on the way this week too, huh? :)

I love her dress, but I've always loved the look of lace over other material to give it an "Ooomp" thing and think it's such an elegant look to boot. Really, really love it and by looking at the skirt, I wish I could see that in motion, as I'm guessing that w/the lace skirt being separate from the under skirt, it really looks amazing.

Although...William, William, William....You've got to brush up on your Umbrella skills there M'boy. :D ;)

She looks absolutely radiant. So beautiful. And Wills looks so good in a tux. A very good looking couple.
