Too bad there weren't more episodes.

^ My major bitch-n-moan about the Indian diamond episode:

They introduced mummy as "Her Royal Highness Queen Charlotte". UGH! A queen is ALWAYS majestic! :drama:

They, and she, look amazing.
Very stylish, indeed!
Did we look at the same photos? I wasn't too impressed with Mrs. Gul's fashion sense. She didn't took tacky or anything but she didn't look particularly stylish either. I've seen more fashionable hijabis at the university where I worked. One of the UAE first ladies (her name escapes me now) does a much better job of looking chic while always being covered.

Are you thinking of the Sheikah Mozah? A gorgeous and stylish woman, indeed. Sorry, Mrs. Gul.

Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark was visiting Vietnam:

Pics (In Danish) (http://politiken.dk/fotografier/reportagefoto/ECE1463466/kronprins-frederik-besoeger-vietnam/) - including a cute one where he gets to play with legos with kids at an orphanage.
(the Danish lady he is with in the break room picture is the trade and investments Minister Pia Olsen Dyhr)

Yep, that's her though I was wrong about her being from the UAE. Her husband is Qatar's ruler. I've often wondered who designs her clothes.

Another Royal Baby on it's way in 2012...

ROYAL BLOG ~ Bourbon-Parma: baby in May 2012 (http://gpdhome.typepad.com/royalblognl_news_summary/2011/11/bourbon-parma-baby-in-may-2012.html)

And the King/Crown Prince of Albania has passed away...

ROYAL BLOG ~ Albania mourns death of King Leka (http://gpdhome.typepad.com/royalblognl_news_summary/2011/11/albania-mourns-death-of-king-leka.html)

I've seen him referenced by both titles today in respective articles, so decided to go w/both just in case.

Man, I totally called that!

Completely predictable (http://news.daylife.com/photo/0eBN6xedeia8A?__site=daylife&q=Queen+Elizabeth+II)

HM did wear something "new" though. For the first time in public she wore Queen Victoria's waterfall brooch which contains diamonds given to Victoria by the Sultan of Turkey.

^^^Cool, aren't they? She usually dresses extremely well anyway, but is the kind of woman who would look great in a flour sack.

I've been catching up on things over at Order of Splendour (Thanks for the link there Parsley Sage), as I don't get over there unless I see a link shared somewhere. Anyway...Saw this picture in reference to the hope that Maxima would be the one to bring back Opera Gloves and it's just a lovely picture period.

The Prince and Princess of Orange and HM Queen Fabiola of Belgium (http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/3328/712496900au.jpg)

I'm guessing this was a State Visit of the Dutch Royals to Belgium, as Maxima's wearing the Belgium order there *and* King Baudoin passed away before she married Williem-Alexander IIRC. Regardless, that's one of the most lovely pictures of Queen Fabiola I've ever seen and just thought I'd share. :)

edited to add...Another tidbit from Order of Splendour...

Order of Splendour ~ Royal Ladies in Uniform (http://orderofsplendor.blogspot.com/2011/11/flashback-friday-ladies-in-uniform.html)

I will not spend all evening reading Order of Splendor, I will not spend all evening reading Order of Splendor....

I think on the royals in uniform page it's HM Queen Elizabeth who trounces them all, including her daughter, because she's mounted in uniform and she's doing it aside.

I've been known to mutter that mantra too danceronice. Never works w/me either. ;)

ITA w/you. It's tough to beat HM Queen Elizabeth II riding Burmese side saddle in full out dress uniform. While I understand why she stopped attending Trooping the Colour in uniform after Burmese was retired, I do miss seeing HM in full uniform and riding side saddle. She was the epitome of regal and royal when she did.

edited to add...Princess Madeleine of Sweden attended the American Scandavian Association Yule Ball 2011 in NYC earlier tonight.

The Photos over at Daylife (http://news.daylife.com/search/photos/1/grid?__site=daylife&q=princess+madeleine+december+2%2C+2011)

She looks really good in red IMO.

Nerd Alert: I have have three framed photos of HMQ above the laptop nook next to my desk, one is HMQ wearing the Vladimir tiara at a state dinner in the 70s, the next is a Coronation portrait, and the third is HMQ sitting s/s astride Burmese at TtC c.1980. :D :slinkaway
