Sure, of course, not the prop (which is surprising K/P were able to get away with back then in competition -- exhibition would have been a different story). Still, a gorgeous program, although many ice dance aficionados probably didn't like the direction ice dance was taking in those years. However, some don't like the direction now either, there will never be an end to debates in figure skating.

That was a pro competition, pretty much the same as an exhibition as far as restrictions go.

Ahhh, thanks, I didn't notice that it was a pro comp -- that explains getting away with the prop.

Gary Beacom classic! A poster on youtube mentioned that Dance magazine put Gary on their cover wearing that costume. I didn't know that, but no wonder -- this program is definitely modern dance on ice.

Here's the cover/magazine in question:

Doris, those are among my favorite examples of their art.
I took it for granted that when the OP mentioned "everything" of T and D. that covered it!

Here are some other favorite T and D performances that might be missed, if you don't know to look for them.

1982 Skate Canada Gala (special guests) - Fast Tap

Wow, thanks for all the links. Many of these programs are sort of off the beaten path. At least I haven't seen quite a few before. And some bring back fond memories. :)

By far the most beautiful thing I've watched in figure skating! I love this entire program but this movement was my favorite.
