View Full Version : Ice Theatre gala honoring Johnny

Was anyone else there last night? I thought Johnny's first program to "Meditation From Thais" was really beautiful. The Ice Theatre pieces were good as well, especially with the skating of Brent Bommentre, Joel Dear, and Eve Chalom, as well as Elisa Angeli's acrobatic, aerialist performance high above the ice on red silks.

The "Meditation From Thais" program was superb. My favorite of the ITNY pieces was "Transitions."

True, Transitions was gorgeous as well. Emotional too.

yes, especially made for Johnny, I think they just put the red sole on the bottom of his own skates

Was this event well attended?

It was packed. One of the biggest crowds I've seen, not that I have attended all of these galas.
