View Full Version : RIP to FSU Poster "CaptCrunch"

To those who knew CaptCrunch (David Forberg), news has hit the SkateFans list that he passed away unexpectedly over the weekend. He was in his early 50s. :(
David was one of my most favorite people in all of skating, and his passing continues 2011's streak as the sh*ttiest year ever. :(
On FSU, he was more active in the "other sports" forum than in the skating forums, but he had endless, encyclopedic knowledge of pre-COP skating (as well as several other sports!).
The skating world - and many of us - have lost a great friend. RIP, David. You were taken from us too soon.

Ah, that's too bad. My sympathies to his family and friends. Thanks for letting us know, Louis.

My sympathy and prayers to his family. RIP CaptCrunch. Much too young. :(

OMG. No! :fragile:
Yes, Louis, David was such a quality person ... I'd met him over the years, and really liked him. Horrible news. :(
I never knew that David was CaptCrunch, though. We've been peas in a pod all these years in Other Sports, where David has been a wonderful and thoughtful sports fan (we will feel his absence there for sure), but it seems neither of us knew we knew each other in RL.
RIP, David. I'm getting more :fragile: by the minute. So sad.
I'm very sorry to hear this. Yes, far too young. :(

If nobody else can get to it, I'll post this in the Other Sports forum, later today, for the non-supporting FSUers. David/CaptCrunch has been a huge presence in the college football and tennis forums. :(

I did not know him well, but I'm sorry to hear it and offer condolences to his loved ones. :(

I'm so sorry to hear of this. I recall him posting in many of the same threads I read/posted. I'll miss his input. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

My condolences to those who knew him. I did not, but I always chuckled when I saw his screen name. May he rest in peace.

Oh. No! I always looked forward to his summarys in the NCAA football threads. :( I'm very sorry for those posters who knew him personally and for his family.

Most of my views on subjects skating or otherwise were diametrically opposed to his, but it's always sad when somebody so relatively young passes away.RIP. :(
