^ I still don't like it. I think the choreography is sort of below the standard she should be doing. It's just standing still, random ballet-eque pose, then emotionlessly standing around a few times in-between dance elements and tumbling runs with landings where she just stands still blankly for a few beats afterwards.

There are nice moments, but I'm ready to see her FX next season.

I know, there are moments of Blank pose, wish she would at least move her hands in those moments for artistry, lol
but still this FX performance was better than her FX at Worlds and Massilia.

hopefully her next seasons chreo FX will be better

So you would rather the girls not win team gold again? Not taking Nastia for bars will do that, the other girls have had over 3 years to get a huge scoring UB routine together and they haven't. If she shows up with a great UB routine this year, she will have earned her place on the team for that reason alone.

The fact that she's the returning Olympic AA Champion is MORE reason to take her IMO, because when was the last time a team showed up at an Olympics with that?!? If you show up at the Olympics as the reigning World Champions, and you also have the reigning Olympic AA Champion on your team it adds that much more prestige to the entire team, with an additional member on it with a resume like that!! She's done it all, won the biggest things you can win, if I were competing in my first Olympics I would love to have a team member like that to talk to and calm me down!!!

And yes I am totally biased because she's also one of my all-time favorites, sue me. :P

^^^^
THIS. Well put.

^ That's not a bad team at all. Victoria Moors is a beautiful gymnast, I hope she gets to compete in London.

If they qualify, I think it would be cool if EHH trained elite after senior year at NCAA's and make the team. A team with her, Vaculik, Lee, and Moors would actually be quite lovely, even if Rogers was the 5th gymnast.

Victoria Komova is incredible just saw her she should be the favorite in London over Weiber even though Weiber is pretty good too but its almost a given Komova will have the Amanar in London which will pretty much erase any advantage Weiber will have. Her floor routine seems to have improved alot and her UB are unequaled in the world she just has to hold it together and fight on beam.

Komova nearly won at Worlds without the Amanar and with some really lackluster performances. Of course, Weiber did have a big mistake on bars but the point is that Komova is easily the favorite over Weiber if they both go clean. Weiber needs some big upgrades to make it competitive and to not have to rely on a fall from Komova. Then there is Mustafina, of course.

Watching hockey on NBC - some Olympics stuff- like Wieber being favored to be third american in a row to win all around

Weiber is not the favorite even her coach knows it, still talking about chasing Komova i`m not saying its impossible for Weiber but olympic judges will always favor the more graceful and artistic gymnast. Its pretty ironic but last time Shawn Johnson was the defending champion heading to the olympics and she lost to the artistic russian born american liukin. Plus her victory was controversial and a backlash occured Weiber will have to be perfect and out of this world and expect a meltdown from Komova plus you have Mustafina if she is healthy she`s the most likely to hit 4 for 4 and be absolutely clean and win but my bet is on Komova that girl is special.

Throw Yao Jinnan into the mix with a possible amanar and we could watch some real magic.

And then don't forget about the 2nd American AA'er (who knows how good Bross, Douglas, Ross, or even Sloan and Johnson look by next year), Larissa Iordache from Romania, or Mai Murakami from Japan. There were so many "almost" top tier AA gymnasts in 2011, I have a feeling Komova, Mustafina, and Wieber are going to get a surprise contender to deal with they weren't expecting. (could def by YJN)

I also think this could be the best Olympic AA we've seen since 1992. I hope so, I actually thought the last Olympic AA was pretty exciting for a change. And there are going to be more in the hunt this time.

I'm just stoked it's not just USA v. China this time. There are so many more contenders in the mix, it makes it so much more exciting.
