Moreno VT1 score: 14.733 (6.30/8.433). 2nd Vault-Tsuk lay full landed with chest low, bt great effort for Mexico with the upgraded difficulty. Powerful Mexican acknowledges crowd

Barbosa BRA-1st Vault. Yurchenko double twist-cleanly executed small step. 5.8/14.866. Barbosa VT2: yurchekno half on, layout half off clean in the air but leg gave out and nearly fell backward. Good save. 14.266 (5.60/8.666)

Why aren't larger countries like Uchimura for Japan and Kai for China and very likely Maroney for USA not given a spot for Olympics like minor countries? In my opinion athletes that medal in any Event Final should be given an automatic spot into Qualifying at Olympics. That way the big countries could qualify spots where they may have specialists but not necessarily have that person be in the five-person team.

because the larger federations are more likely to qualify multiple gymnast anyways or at least have the opportunity to qualify more gymnast.

Ouch - Jade Barbosa had a fluke wrong step back from her second vault and looked to have hurt her ankle. Hopefully it's mild.

No Amanar from Nabieva?

Probably a good thing. The poor girl has the sloppiest Amanar I've ever seen.

Pena VT1: yurchenko 1.5 landed with legs locked. Quick turn to salute. Guess the handspring double front is next...

(I'm nervous for her second vault! I don't want her to get injured. )
