My apologies if this has already been shared, but I see that the U.S. Olympic team will be named the night of trials. Here is Marta discussing it:

I, for one, am happy about this.

I've been able to watch all of Universal Sports videos on their website after each event and suddenly today they're telling me I have to pay for it. WTH??! Anyone else here in the US have this problem? So annoying. I wanted to watch a couple of routines before the event finals air later tonight and I can't right now. I wonder what happened there. :(

OK, sloppy isn't the right word. Maybe I am biased because of those awful, awful socks.

LOL. You reallly don't like them, if you think that FX was sloppy  I really like those socks; they're really retro, which is always good in my eyes

On a totally superficial note, Ali Raisman's hair always looks so messy. I found it distracting. C'mon, Ali; you are representing your country at Worlds. Can someone step in and do this girl's hair for her?

I kept wishing Komova would wash hers..:P

I finally got around to watching the AAs last night and thought Wieber completely deserved the AA win.

Aly has curly hair. I'm sure she does her best to make it look nice but, unfortunately, curly hair doesn't always cooperate. Vika has fine hair. I'm sure she washes it on a regular basis but, unfortunately, fine hair can look dirty even when it isn't.

As a teenager, my hair was a lot like hers seems to be now, and I had a terrible time keeping it neatly in a ponytail.

Who does Tweddle's choreography?

Somebody blind and deaf with no sense of rhythm. :scream:

I've been saying it since 2009: It looks like he's smuggling Linda Lovelace AND Georgina Spelvin under there......

You Merikuns just can't handle things that aren't trimmed. ;)

So happy for Danell! The AA was so horrid for him and could have really played on his mind during the off season - what a way to end on a note of redemption.

ETA: Just read that the gymnastics officials donated $100,000 to Japanese red cross - nice touch.

I'm thrilled for him too! His routine was amazing and he was so clean. I'm glad the judges rewarded him for it. Congrats Danell!! :cheer2:

That is a wonderful gesture from USA gymnastics. I hadn't read that news. Props to them. :respec:

The more I see Jordyn's FX routine, the more I really hope she keeps it for next year's Olympics. The music and moves suit her style so well and boy can she tumble. :)

The note I saw just said gymnastics officials, so I'm assuming it's the international federation.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was the FIG.

Ah I see. That's still a wonderful gesture though. :)
