Mmmm, gimme some Legendre, with that big old floppy & arrogant tongue (http://www.daylife.com/photo/06Yf0W9bBW7UI?__site=daylife&q=steven+legendre) hangin' out. :swoon:
:yikes: He's multitasking the c'mons and the vaulting! Danger ... gonna bite that thing off!

Anyway, AA predictions? I say Wieber, then Jinnan, then Komova. I have a feeling Vika is really struggling (though I hope this isn't the case, and she wins ... but I think Jordyn is the one to beat) I at least hope it's EXCITING.
Kind've thinking [ableit silently] that the US girls have to miss at sometime in this competition. ("Wowsers" if they do not!) Either way, :watch:

Congratulations to the chinese for this tittle again as a team, very solid overall

Japan and USA, wow that was close, the american boys lost one point with Jonathan Horton on vault (fall) and lose some .5-.6 tenths on the pommel horse given a shaky performance by Orozco, so there you have

anyway who would have thought that given their nemesis (pommel horse) would cost them a silver medal with Japan!!!

they have progressed a lot so all the respect to them

and of course to all the medalist

You guys can have Legendre. I'll have Belyavskiy.

And later, Philipp Boy.

I'll take Chris Brooks since he's not busy competing. ;)

Not that many. That makes it so uninteresting in a way. :(
Neither of the Romanians do, IMO.

No. Romania has alot of work to do for London, but then they do have Iszbasa and Iordache to hopefully join the team, barring injury and recovery.

In my wildest dreams, Huang Qiushuang goes 4 for 4, throws an amanar, and medals. Won't happen, but meh.

Enough of the nationalistic crap Dionysus. Got an issue? Take it to PM

PM?? who is he to be so honoured?

I just took notice to Legendre's behaviour. It was you who cooked up the nationalistic crap. Disagree? Ok but don't arrogate evil motives to me. I got the impression that you ungrudgingly wanted to lay all your sins at my door

If you want to vent, feel free to drop me a line. Whether I read it or not is another matter. Life is precious after all. :) Oh and I didn't cook anything up. I was looking forward to reading the thread when I got home from work only to find several posts completely off base from yourself trying to bait other posters into irrelevant and pointless arguments. You were called on it by several posters and I have asked you to stop. So please refrain from any more bollocks. :)

Thanks.

Just saw the results.

Happy for the Japanese and American men. The US was soooooo close to Japan.

I'd like to feel happy for China, but Kai Zou is probably my least fave MAG ever. Him and Chenglong Zhang have two of the most boring piroutte high bar routines I've ever seen.

My my my, what big MEDALS (http://www.daylife.com/photo/0aqbez87Bebtq?__site=daylife&q=usa+gymnastics) they have!

Hey ISU: Can you give our skating medalists something bigger than the fakakta miniscule coins on a string you usually hand out?

The bollocks and neglected delirium are up your alley so there's no point to argue - get back to your rut if my posts wound your pride. Thanks :P
I wish American gymnasts be more respectful to find more fans worldwide

OK.

I think its Weiber's to lose. I think Komova is the better gymnast, but Weiber has been so consistent while Komova made two major mistakes in Team Finals. Next year though you can imagine Weiber's amanar being much better and her bars will surely get upgraded next year. Not much in it with Floor and Beam. So Komova would have to be on top of her game in London.

Jinnan Yao looks good for Bronze and of course could take silver if Komova melts down. Though Seitz, Porgras or Huang could feature. Then of course there's Mitchell who if she hits her beam and floor as she is able to could feature.

But honestly part of me really wants to see Raisman medal. I know a lot of people don't seem to like her. But to me there is something very watchable about her especially compared to Weiber.

Good luck to both Wieber and Komova tonight and wish both girls best of luck! Unfortunaely I have to wait until saturday to watch the gymnastics of tv. :(

Is there a name for the floor skill that is a handstand with the hands placed well outside the shoulders?

Are planche-type moves required from the men on floor, but not for the women?

Thanks! And thanks to everyone who posted links -- very interesting.

Clearly and emphatically the hottest men's Nat'l team the US has ever had. Nice. I usually have to go South or to Europe for my MAG oogling activities. :D
