I thought Anna wouldn't be up on the podium getting a medal?

Anna Li gets a gold medal she's on the podium! :cheer2:

They still better fire Marta.

So Anna gets a medal.

I'm not understanding her situation and everything.

Very happy to see Anna up there (even though it makes little sense!)

If I saw the US leos without seeing the gymnasts faces, I'd think it was France.

It'd be TOO cruel to have her with the team on the floor, in her leotard, but then tell her she can't get a medal. I'm glad she at least has that.

How useful is Bross in London though. UB maybe? But Weiber will be first AA. How do/will Katelyn Ohashi and Kyla Ross fit next year?

I thought Ohashi wasn't eligible for next year; or was it just this year?

Ohashi is too young.

Well, with 2003 and 2007 as models, the US is perfectly positioned for an OSM next year!

I thought it a pretty lame final, with no tension whatsoever (as it wasn't close and was totally predictable) but nice to see the winners so deserved, even if it wasn't what I wanted.

That's what I was thinking.

I changed my mind, Weiber can have the AA. The pre-olympic Worlds AA winner hasn't won the Olympics in a while.

I didn't hear it but Christine on BBC went off on Komova's attitude, and I kind of agree with her. The second she walked on the floor exercise she looked done, and when she made the mistake she totally zoned out. Her feelings were how can Komova expect to be world AA champ with that attitude. I totally think she looked not good, but that girl gave up on that performance totally. If I were the Russian coaches I'd give her a talking too.

People talked about Aliya's attitude but Aliya never acted like that.

Komova is young and hopefully will learn. I do miss Musty however, and cannot help but think if she was up there Russia would be wearing gold.

Komova is young. Lesson learnt I guess but I'll take Komova and Mustafina over Weiber any day.
