Am I the only person in the world who isn't a Tom Hanks fan?

No. :D

I really like certain goofball moments: "Dragnet" was not a good film but watching him dancing around imitating the suspects in a ridiculous costume made me laugh. I enjoyed when he hosted SNL. I picked "Big", "A League of Their Own" and "You've Got Mail" but it easily could have been three other films.

I'm not really a movie person, so I haven't seen most of those, but I did love Forrest Gump and Big. My 3rd vote will go to Woody from Toy Story :D

No Joe Vs the Volcano? If You've Got Mail is on your list, JVTV should be. Seriously, I loved Big, Forrest Gump, Philadelphia, League of their Own, Sleepless in Seattle, & enjoyed most of the others.

What, no Finless in New York? I mean, Splash! That was a fun little movie!

Which was the one where he was stranded in the airport? I kind of liked that one, but have no memory for names.

Oh, I forgot about the one in the airport - it was called "The Terminal." We liked it so much, we bought the DVD. Alas, I voted for the romantic comedies. Although he was excellent in Forrest Gump. Splash was awesome, too. My kids loved him in League of Their Own - they were fascinated.

He's done a lot of good movies.

I know he was just the voice actor, but I love him in all the Toy Story movies

How about the dog movie? Houch, can't remember the spelling. And the skit he did on one of the last night shows " Toddlers and Tiaras".

Turner and Hooch? I saw that one the other day on some cable channel.

I voted for three in the above list, but I also like The Terminal, That Thing You Do!, and Catch Me If You Can.

A League of their Own, Forrest Gump and Road to Perdition with a honourary mention for Big and Philadephia.

Castaway, Philadelphia and Apollo 13 (I always get verklempt with the "Gentlemen, it's been a privilege flying with you" line), with honorable mentions to pretty much every movie he's ever done (well, maybe not "Charlie Wilson's War"....but Hanks is my fave actor, period)

I loooooved (five O's) Charlie Wilson's War.

I looooved (four O's) The Green Mile.

How about the dog movie? Houch, can't remember the spelling. And the skit he did on one of the last night shows " Toddlers and Tiaras".

OMG the T and T bit was hilarious! And again with Hanks it is funny little moments like when he finally was able to wash the dog in "Houch."
I thought he was convincing as Charlie Wilson in "Charlie Wilson's War."

Forrest Gump
A League of Their Own

Didn't really like Philadelphia (but the soundtrack was awesome!)
