I met Michael Stipe last summer. He's a really nice guy (and he called me smart!). REM was making a new CD in New Orleans at the time.

they went supernova in the mainstream, and after Green came out, they lost me as a fan, though I still love listening to their early stuff.

Yeah, I used to listen to them back in the day and then one day I said "Man, what DOUCHEBAGS" and I haven't been able to recapture the love since. :lol:
