I thought The Closer was the American version of Prime Suspect?

I realize I watch a lot of cr** tv, because I don't watch any of the nominated drama series.

Somehow I suspect Maria Bello's Prime Suspect will not garner her the emmys as the Brit version did for Helen Mirren.
I am going to give it a try, but I just can't see here working in that role. :(

I love The Closer! But I don't really enjoy The Closer and Prime Suspect (UK version) in the same way or for the same reasons.

Is the Mario Bello version based on the British version?!? I just assumed the similarities were in name only. Or at least I hoped so. The Helen Mirren Prime Suspect was amazing.

Friday Night Lights is on DVD, all five seasons. Start there and I don't think you'll regret it. :)

It isn't cr** if you enjoy it. :D
Mad Men.
Of course. I know it walks on friggin' water, but come on. Four fcukin years in a row it's won, and FNL gets screwed out of the Best Drama award the one and only time it could win.
Meh.
*******
And crap - does Pwincess Gwynneth's sour "do I really have to mingle with these commoners?" expression really have to be the last of the presenters' faces we'll see tonight? :blah: .

It is, but they've made some changes most notably she doesn't have a drinking problem and I don't think she's married.
