I don't know that many people would know what trains come into Grand Central and what comes into Penn Station. I wouldn't, and I've been to NYC several times.

What always bothered me about Glee was the "competition" at Regionals/Sectionals/Nationals. Only three teams? And from different schools every year, but always Vocal Adrenaline? And they don't practice the songs for Nationals (hell, choose them) until a week before? :wall:

My understanding with Glee's portrayal of Nationals is that there are wayyyy more than three teams. Last season, Team Lima did not even make the top ten (gasp!). I think this year, they just mentioned/showed the top 3 teams.

I think there are 50 teams at nationals? That's what I thought I remembered from last season. But still, that means like 9 total teams in each state.

I was just thinking that one of my favourite things about the season finale was when Mike Chang graduated, seeing his dad cheering his heart out. I hope that Abs McGee comes back to visit Tina sometime in season 4.

They didn't always face Vocal Adrenaline at sectionals and regionals (only sectionals in season one, I think). And there are supposedly a lot of teams at nationals, even though few are shown.

I also hate how the preparation for nationals was done on a whim (Tina and Quinn just magically know the choreography for the Troubletones number?). Although last year was worse when they were still writing original songs after they arrived in New York for a national competition.

See, that didn't seem odd to me, because if the glee club had actually been practicing all their Nationals numbers as they should have been, Quinn and Tina probably had to watch the Troubletones rehearse their song many, many times before getting to Chicago. It's like how cast members in a play usually end up knowing everybody's lines and cues, not just their own, because they've had to watch the other scenes in rehearsals and from the wings on performance nights so many times.

I can forgive them for the lack of preparation just because they can't entertain the audience by showing the glee club do the same three songs every day.

The writing new songs after they got there thing was silly, though.

Harry and Sally came from the University of Chicago and not Northwestern.

Ahhh, yes. Which actually makes the lake shore drive scene worse!

There's a difference between suspending your disbelief for Glee magic and suspending your disbelief for bad fact checking. They are totally different things to me.
But why? Once I've thrown realism out the window and have no problem with a parent showing up in the middle of the day, pulling 3 kids out of class, and taking over the auditorium for a little private concert, I'm not thinking about little details, like Pace and Yale are real school but nyada is made up. 1. Just how bad are Finn's grades that he didn't get into Pace? And 2. Am I suppose to cry over Kurt not getting into a fantasy school that exist only in the heads of the geeks?
