Has any of the writers or producers indicated that they are stopping with the original songs? I know those songs, being original, are potential cash cows, but I really hope they are done with that idea.Well, there are two on the Christmas album, including one truly awful Lea Michele/Darren Criss duet that's in the next episode. I'm crossing my fingers that's it though.

Let's just hope that they watched the Jackson medley from Sectionals and realized how much better those competition performances are when they're not being dragged down by terrible original songs.

It's probably a weird Ryan Murphy thing. That guy is a giant asshat. This is true. There isn't much I'd put past him.

He was never a regular, he was credited as a guest star all last season. There was a lot of he said/she said over what he was offered for this season, but suffice to say he wasn't offered a role as a regular and turned down whatever it was he did get offered, but clearly someone changed their mind and now he's back.

My "inquiring mind" wonders if he was being a diva on set, and was dropped. Maybe the time off resulted in an attitude adjustment. This is just a big maybe/theory, so feel free to spread it as much as you want. :D

I thought "Light Up The World" was an amazing pop song, I thought they hit the nail on the head with that one and they were going to have a big hit.

ETA: The originals did better on the pop charts than any other songs released around that time:

Get It Right - #16
Loser Like Me - #6
Light Up The World - #33

Light Up The World - #33Probably because we were being bombarded by Katy Perry songs already and then Glee went and rehashed the songs that were still being heavily played on the radio?

I didn't mind the original songs. They sounded like songs high school kids would write and like. They weren't as good as the remakes, but I'm not sure they were supposed to be.

I bloody love Rory. I don't care; I think he's adorable in all ways and needs to stay forever.

I think he has a great voice and I'm a sucker for Irish accents, but he needs some acting lessons, he's still far too mumbly and doesn't know how to emote properly.

That 'special' was far too long of annoying cheese. I mean seriously! Did they really need that?

And I loved Sue calling Blaine both 'other gay' and 'young Burt Reynolds' and how kind of proud Blaine looked at the latter.

Also, kind of funny that Blaine said that socks make a good Christmas gift, when he hardly ever wears them...

It's been so nice not seeing much of Mr. Schue lately.
