Oui.

1)
Songs in which the singer proposes that the object of her affection come over to her place where they can listen to The Rolling Stones and do...whatever:

Bobbie Gentry, "Apartment 21" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMtn52TvBa0)
or
Sophie B. Hawkins, "Damn, I Wish I Was Your Lover" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5rjOf9LgU8)?

2)
Bobbie Gentry: yay or nay?

I go back and forth. Sometimes she lays it on a bit thick...

1. Bobbie Gentry, "Apartment 21"
2. yay

If an actress is contracted to act in a movie but gets preggers and needs time to have the baby and take care of it at home before returning to the work....

The studio should be able to replace her
OR
The studio should NOT be able to replace but should have to wait until she is ready.

The studio should be able to replace her.

Drew Barrymore: yay or nay?

Nay - she has not aged well

Julian Assange:

Criminal
OR

The NBA is on strike and the start of the season is delayed. So....

Should multi-million dollor players allowed to work overseas for mega millions during the strike?

I was on the fence (due to lack of knowledge or much caring about basketball), but that extra "o" really cinched it.

Measure for Measure

The Merchant of Venice

songs I have on my ipod:

Ain't No Sunshine - Bill Withers

The James Blunt admission is very brave.

Ain't No Sunshine - Bill Withers

uglier form of verbal aggression:

candid (and gleeful)
or
prim and rationalized?

About James = eh?

can I just avoid both? I'd say the first one. I hate it when people insult the heck out of you and says "I'm only being honest!" BAH!

today's birthdays:

Hugh Jackman
Luciano Pavarotti
Bode Miller (olympic skiier)
Marion Jones
Kirk Cameron

Jackman, baby!
Is honesty (as referred to above)
always welcome and refreshing,
OR
sometimes tacky and in poor taste.

Sometimes tacky and ill-advised, as candor and honesty aren't always synonymous. A phony can be extremely candid about what he or she is thinking. Anyway, if something needs to be said, that necessity should be the justification for the insult if one is challenged, not one's right to be honest. Honesty is supposed to be a way of life, not an itch to be scratched occasionally.

I shall now retire to my tuffet and be very grotesquely cross and princessy.

About James = eh?

"You're Beautiful" is, like "Wonderful Christmastime", one of the less popular songs on FSU.
