Murofushi looks hotter every year.

Shelly-Ann Fraser always looks SO happy. Veronica Campbell is my fave tho. :)

How typical in Japan is the build of Koji Murofushi?

*fingers cross* Valerie Adams wins tonight. And please Jamaica win 100m final tonight as well.

Not very. His mother is Romanian and a former javelin thrower. His father was a former Japanese hammer champion.

His middle name in Alexander.

I think you may get one out of two.

Jeter looks good. The womens 100 final promises to be rather more exciting than the mens actual race ended up being.

When following multi-events I usually consult this (http://www.ergorej.net/daegu2011/women.php?l=eng) site for score projections. They currently see Chernova slightly ahead of Ennis and Dobrynska. Chernova is also the only of the contenders to significantly outperform her reference competition (but she did have consistency issues in the past).

Whee! Sasha Mirofushi over 81!

Thanks mazzy! Had total forgot about that site!

How fitting that Murofushi extenze his lead just as Lashawn "Small one" Merritt takes to the track. ;)

I suppose the biggest shock of men's 400m semis is that there'll be only 1 American, but two Grenadians and two Belgians.

One flaw is that they are using chernova's wind assisted time for 200 m

I'm guessing they don't have any other time from this year to base it on?

ETA: Ennis wins in 23.27, but Chernova gets a legal PB of 23.50. This is going all the way to the 800m.

Pars throws 81.18 in the final round, but Murofushi wins by 6cm. Which is still longer that Lashawn Merritt's penis.

Sasha Murofushi! Wheeee! :cheer2:

chernova did 23.51 this year and her PB is 23.50 from 2007, which she equalled here. i believe both can cross 7000 points some time during their career.

Dobrynska loses a lot in the 200 so she should be aiming for bronze now. Too bad Oeser also underperformed.
