Are there gonna be any healthy gymnasts by the time Worlds is over?

I hope TPTB take a good, long look at their death COP.

I'm really confused about the Anna Li situation. What's the point of having Alicia on the roster when she most likely needs surgery and Anna Li has been training bars despite her injury?

I say let Anna do Bars in Prelims and if she messes up to the point to be a detriment to the team score, then we can drop her score and not put her in TF. It makes more sense then having a gymnast on the roster who won't contribute anything score wise.

Porgras won't make it to the beam finals  :fragile:

1 PONOR Catalina ROU 15.000
2 RACEA E. ROU 14.733
3 HAIDU R. ROU 14.533
4 PORGRAS Ana ROU 14.400

13.866 for Porgras on FX. She was hitting it until she put both feet out of bounds on her dismount. Damn.

I don't know, I'm not too sad about Porgras. She's still pretty as far as lines go, but B&B have taken all the interesting out of her routines and turned her into the typical bot.

Ponor is kicking ass and taking names. Nailed all 3 of her events, should qualify easily for beam and floor finals.

Beam, yes.

But, she only got a 14.2 on floor. Both Bulimar and Chelaru scored higher than her anyway.

Oh is it? I thought 14.2 was a good floor score these days. What do you think it will take on floor?

Alicia tore her Achilles tendon, USAG is reporting.

I think 14.4 or 14.5 might be the cutoff.

Not really sure.

But her 14.2 doesn't really matter since two of her teammates scored higher anyway.

USA Gymnastics has confirmed that Alicia tore her achilles. That should require surgery and there is no guarantee of her coming back from that.

:duh: You are right about Ponor on floor. I didn't even pay attention to 2 teammates outscoring her already.

I hope Anna Li is put into the lineup ASAP.

If they keep Alicia in just to get her that medal, it's a huge slap in the face to Anna.
