Wow...just wow. They should just fly in the entire Pan-Am Team and see who's healthy.

Would there even be enough time to get there?

Even if, the girls wouldn't have any time to get used to the equipment and they'd have jet lag to deal with.

Not soon enough.

They should sack her after Worlds.

Anybody else would do a better job.

They should have sacked her a long time ago. No excuse. Yes, other countries have their gymnast get broken too, but not in the sheer number and consistency that Marta and this system has done. She's squandered our depth.

Alicia is on crutches, according to the Couch Gymnast. Not good.

Here's a story I just saw about Alicia and Aly although I guess I'm late since you all knew all ready.

I'm struggling to see how these two injuries are Marta's fault today although I am also not a fan of having so many camps before competitions. Unfortunately crap happens at times but it doesn't sound like the girls are overdoing anything this week at all. Sometimes things just happen in sports and it's no one's fault. I really hope both of the girls are all right. :fragile:

And how many get injured at training At worlds. We had Davis last year, Sam at the Olympics. Everyone's saying how great it is that the US team is so business like getting in more reps etc in the training hall. But maybe there's an actual METHOD to the madness to not being all intense on the podium and letting your gymnasts get a feel for the equipment.

Has this woman ever heard of tapering? This happens to the US women's team at pretty much every Worlds and Olympics since she's taken over. That's not a coincidence.

Wow. I am shocked. Good job Marta, way to drive your gymnasts into the ground.

There were what, 2 training camps and then a worlds camp, and I think Anna tweeted something about a mock competition type thing in the training gyms after they got to Tokyo.

These girls never get a chance to rest.
