Amy Chow is trying the sport of diving right now, even attempting to qualify to the 2012 US olympic team, so she is definitively in shape and different skills obviously but she is active as an athlete

 Now, I can't tell if you're joking or not.

ha, no I was being serious actually. I liked that post.

I agree Fridge_Break, I feel like we've been building up to worlds since the last presidential election.

Li made sense, even with her mistakes, because she can outscore most other US girls on bars even with a big break. Her one fall was a fluke (ripping off on her toe shoot) but the other mistakes were just big breaks, not falling off of the bars. With that she can finish her set and STILL score a 14. No other girl in the US can probably say that. That is why she made sense on bars. If she hit, she helped tremendously. If she missed, she didn't hurt us any more than whomever else got put up in her place (and would have to hit).

I hear there is a little niggling and game-playing going on between the US and Russian ladies. ;) :P

I was going to ask if she was in deferment from Stanford's pediatric residency program, but now I see she's actually already graduated. Where has the time gone?

I think I'll always be jealous of her accomplishments. :slinkaway

Amy Chow just makes me feel ashamed in every way. She's phenomenally accomplished in every area of her life it seems. She has to have at least one flaw somewhere right? :shuffle:

Enjoying the training videos and interviews. Had to  at Jordyn Weiber's ''and the other day we actually got to go and walk around outside'' comment. As someone else commented on the gymnastike vid - Oh the joys of being a US gymnast!! :yikes: I'd like to imagine that A-Sac is a supercool Mother hen telling them dirty jokes and smuggling in pizza when Marta has gone to bed, but somehow I don't see it happening!

Amy Chow reminds me of this urban legend college admissions essay:

AP reporter Nancy Armour is tweeting from Tokyo with lots of reports. If you're on twitter, you may want to follow her for practice reports and interesting tidbits (including leotard evaluation :) ) Her twitter name is nrarmour
