Where is Wofford? Is she hurt again? She must have had a crappy camp. I thought she would be a good alternate or at least on the PanAm team.

Very good team, although I would have liked to see Memmel or Johnson on it. Unfortunate that they're both beat up a bit, I loved watching them both at Visa's. Wishing both the best at Pan Am's and next season!

I'm a bit shocked that Vega is on the World team; I thought she'd be on the Pan Ams team, with one of Johnson/Sloan/Memmel on the World team. Very interesting! I agree she's most likely going to be the alternate though.

Anna Li must have really rocked her bars set today. The reports from the past few weeks have not been all that positive, so it's interesting that Martha selected her. Hopefully she does well in Tokyo! She's a real UB medal threat.

Johnson is the non-traveling 2nd alternate to worlds.

Apparently Wofford is the alternate for PanAms. I guess there was some drama with her leaving WOGA? I wouldn't be surprised if she actually goes to PanAms and wins.

Very smart to send the young'uns to Worlds this year and let them get the experience. That way, no one is going to the Olympics "cold."

And if Li and Douglas choke when the pressure is on, better to find out now.

Provided they don't physically break down, Memmel and Johnson will still be around next year if this year's team provides evidence that we'll need one or more steady heads more than we need start values.

I think Memmel has the best shot at making the Olympic team from those on the outside. I feel confident that if everyone is healthy then Weiber, Bross and Ross will all be on the team as AAers. That leaves two spots. The best compliment would be Maroney and Liukin. Maroney for vault and floor and Liukin for bars and beam, although really both would be mainly needed for their 1 main event. Liukin is a huge question mark though and if she doesn't come back, Memmel could be the UB girl who also fills in nicely on the other events if needed. Memmel needs to keep herself in shape and healthy and do everything to protect her shoulder.

I think my favorite part of Worlds will be seeing which American girl gets the 2nd AA spot. Obviously Weiber is in unless she has a meltdown but Maroney, Raisman and Douglas can all battle it out for the 2nd spot. I give Maroney the edge with her Amanar but you never know.

Hopefully Maroney. Douglas and Raisman arent real threats for the AA, it would be nice to see one makes it that could potentially medal in the AA and give the U.S 2 medals possibly.

I'm very glad Marta is taking a chance on Anna Li.

I hope Maroney makes the AA final. I actually think if she stays healthy she will medal in the AA in London next year.

I haven't been this excited for a Worlds team in forever. It's sort of risky, but you have to play big to win big some times.

This should prove to be an exciting Worlds.
