Anywhere in the Northeast. DC to MA! NY, preferably. Perhaps Nassau Coliseum?

Based on the prices both in San Jose and Omaha, I've been disabused of that theory. It used to be true, but $150/night hotel rooms and $100 shuttles with >$900 all event ticket prices no longer fall under the rubric of reasonable.

Oh my gosh, all event tickets are $900+ these days? Maybe I better stop wishing Nats would come back to the Northeast!!!

I wouldn't hate the Nassau Coliseum.

The first three rows at Nationals in Omaha are $913.

Front few row seats. I haven't yet paid that price :)

I don't think "hotel" costs are the factor. I think it's arena costs. Big cities want more money then skating now brings....

But no :rockstar::rockstar::rockstar::rockstar::rockstar: because of the silly laws.

Oh, there's plenty of drinkers in Utah. All venues here sell booze...

Any big city in the Northeast, you'd probably have to add another $300 to that price. Hotel rooms would probably cost a lot more than $160 a night.

How much were all event tix in Gso?IIRC, I paid $495 for all-event tix in the lower bowl, but not the premium seats (I think those were first 4 rows, can't remember the price).

EYS, within the last few years, "premium" seating packages at USFS events like Nats, SA, and Worlds (first several rows) have often gone at almost double the rate for other lower bowl seats.

I've been to Nationals almost every year since 2002 and the cost for lower bowl, all-event seats (non-premium, no exhibition) has remained in the $500-600 range.

So the extra cost is due to the addition of the juvenile and intermediate levels?

There is little extra cost from an oranges-to-oranges perspective. All-event, non-first-three row seats are going for $525-662 for 2013 Nats. Ticket prices for all-event, non-first-three row seats have been in this price range for the last 10 years.

The $913 figure is for all-event, first-three row seats. From an oranges-to-oranges perspective, such seats have been in this price range ($800-$1,000) for recent Nationals.

The $913 figure seems like a huge price increase only if you're doing an apples-to-oranges comparison between non-first-three row seats and first-three row seats.

If pricing, taking a week off from work, and/or not seeing juveniles/intermediates is an issue, then recent Nationals have sold "championship weekend" packages for $200-250 that include only the key senior events in the final 2-3 days of competition.

So the extra cost is due to the addition of the juvenile and intermediate levels? From the info I saw when tickets first went on sale, it looked like the only events included were Novice-Senior. I don't know if that means Juv and Int will be open to all-event ticket holders for free, or if you'll have to buy a different ticket at an additional expense.

This I can live with. I don't like the first couple rows anyway, my "premium row" is 10.

to those who attended nationals this years, any rumours re: 2014 Nats?
