What is the normal wait time for approval? I signed up several days ago and received an email saying I was on my way but nothing since...
once I'm approved I'll be SpiritAccio2944
ok...I found out where I went wrong and my old email expired. I'm now EchoSky9271

Okay, so I signed up. I like it so far, but once you get through the chapters there's not much to do besides make potions.
My username is DreamThestral22566.
I was sorted into Slytherin. In real life I'd totally be a Ravenclaw or even Hufflepuff.
My wand is chestnut with a unicorn core. 10 1/4 inches, unyielding.

Me too, if it weren't for Kruss, I'd still be trying to throw gnomes and :wall:. Thanks again! :)
Not only do they release too soon, they LAUGH at you. I'll show them. I'm a pureblood. Well, OK, I'll make baseless threats and hope some random Death Eater will back them up, but I'll sneer really, really hard. Or make a potion. I've only broken one cauldron today. :shuffle:
This is why I can't play video games. I'm too invested. I'm trying to sneak playing this at work. Do you know how hard it is to de-gnome while writing a press release?
They laugh? Sort of like Angry Birds...I'll have to check that out. ;)

I've been sorted! I'm a Ravenclaw and my wand is Larch with a phoenix core 13 3/4 inches, hard.
I've collected everything so am trying my hand at potions...how do we get rid of them? Also is there a point to the items in our trunks? Do we use them for anything?

Welcome to Ravenclaw! What do you mean by getting rid of potions?
As to items in the trunk, I suppose we will need them at some point down the line. Or you could send some of them as a gift which many of us have been doing. :)

Okay, there are a few more chapters up for CoS. Is anyone having better luck than I am getting those $%#* Cornish Pixies into the cage?
09-20-2012, 02:40 AM
Ooooh, very good! Thanks for the heads up!

I didn't have as many problems with the Cornish Pixies as I did the swelling solution potion in Snape's class. I really suck at potions. I always seem to be doing some minute thing wrong.

Hmmm. Pixie Problem.
ETA: I got the requisite amount of pixies in the cage and was able to move on. I am now brewing Wizard Viagra Swelling Potion.

I got the 4 pixie's in the cage. Have no idea how people get all 10 in the cage in 50 seconds!
Off to brew. Potions are not my thing. Good thing I picked up more galleons because I see a new cauldron in my future :)

I got all ten on the first try. :P Was lucky though, three of them popped in at the same time. The last one was a pain because it kept hiding down at the bottom and every time I moved my mouse down there the text popped up, so I couldn't see what I was doing.
Excited for more potions!!
Hufflepuff house is haunted by the Fat Friar, who was executed because senior churchmen grew suspicious of his ability to cure the pox merely by poking peasants with a stick, and his ill-advised habit of pulling rabbits out of the communion cup.

I am now done with the available chapters. :(
Question: was I supposed to get a bludger and Colin's camera in Chapter 10? Or just read about them?
And what am I supposed to do with the Swelling Potion? Btw, the second part of preparation requires a bit of care while heating, a very narrow temp range.

Glad you warned me... mine's stewing away on the first part...
09-22-2012, 05:04 AM
Stupid pixies.

Get the cursor behind the pixies so they change into this "freeze" position--that's how you get them in the cage.
