Does "engels gesproken" mean english spoken/english conversation?

I bought a DVD from the Netherlands (it just arrived today.) Anyway, on the back of the DVD case, it said Engels Gesproken, so I was hoping before I bought it, that it would be dubbed in English, or at least have English subtitles. It has neither, and I am bummed. :(

Also, what does Nederlands Ondertitled mean - Dutch subtitles?

Thanks!

You are correct, if it says Engels gesproken and Nederlands ondertitled, it means it's spoken in English with Dutch subtitles.

Sometimes a DVD comes with multiple language options. Have you checked that?

It doesn't seem to have menu. Just play movie & scene selection.

is there an "option" button on your DVD player remote? sometimes you have to go into the options menu while the movie is playing. my remote actually has a subtitle button. :)

Mine has a subtitle button, too, but it didn't do anything. I'll look to see if there is an options button - thanks!
