Some of us who are attending the ballet this Friday are getting together for dinner first. If you aren't a ballet fan, but still want to join us, please do!
I will be making a reservation later in the week, please post here so I can get a head count.

I am coming. What are our dinner options?

I can personally vouch for the food at these places:

http://www.nizzanyc.com/ excellent pizzas, service is a bit slow though

http://caramiany.com/ delicious pastas (as you know ;)) but maybe we'd rather try someplace new?

http://5napkinburger.com/hells-kitchen-new-york yummy burgers, very casual atmosphere

http://www.baseraindian.com/ very nice food, good service, decor is nothing to write home about

I am not picky about food and am open to any other suggestions!

Unfortunately I won't be able to make it down from work in time, but have a wonderful time!

I'm only concerned about the weather, which last I heard was rain and thunderstorms, so I'm thinking not too far from Lincoln Center, but I'm open to anything.

ETA: Garden Kitty, sorry you can't make it.

Fiorello's is directly across the street, if a bit pricey:

Nix to Fiorello's; it doesn't float my boat. Of the choices you posted above, I must say that Basera Indian is really calling to me. What does kwanfan1818 have to say about all of this?

I see it's a 7:30 curtain, and whatever we pick I do need a little extra time because of how slowly I move these days, so I guess we need to meet a little on the early side.

I don't think we need to reserve if we go w/Basera, it was pretty quiet when I was there recently.
Please don't feel stuck w/my suggestions, I am always up for trying something new.
Is anyone interested in having a drink at the Campbell Apartment (inside Grand Central) before dinner? I am doing research and need company.

If anyone else wants to join us, please post here, no need for PM's.

No drinks for me, but I'll meet you at Basera if that's the plan. Time?

Sorry ladies, I'll be with my grandma helping her celebrate her 91st birthday. But definitely next time! :)

Basera is great -- I love Indian food. What time? (Sorry, took the redeye in and couldn't get online until tonight.)

What time if I met you at the Campbell Apartment for drinks?

I'll be getting off the train at Grand Central, so I figured I'd check out the Campbell Apartment before meeting everyone for dinner. (this is purely in the name of research as I am scouting wedding locations for someone. Not because I want to try the Prohibition Punch )
What time depends on what time we are eating.
If everyone is okay with Basera, I don't think we need reservations. What time is good for everyone? How about 5:30? The service is prompt there, so that should give us time to eat and make the 7:30 curtain.
If anyone prefers a different time, just post here.

BTW, there is a fabulous installation at Lincoln Center right now:

Alan Rickman makes me swoon.

5:30 is pushing it just a little, I think. How about 5:15?
