sorry I had to change my post cause the link on Lionel Rumi facebook wasn't available anymore. :/
It's the senior couple. Good luck for both of them.

Rumi was obviously the better dancer. He is with Chait right now. With all the recent breakups, I wonder if one of those ladies will be interested in representing Israel.

Well, papaBoria's message on the IISF website

`The Israel Ice Skating Federation welcomes any skater that has legal rights to obtain Israeli citizenship For more information, please, contact Mr. Boris Chait: boris@iisf.org.il'
So apparently instead of attempting to coach any kids in Metulla PapaBoria is ready to adopt anyone who can dig a jewish grandfather.

Wouldn't that have to be a Jewish grandMOTHER?

Wouldn't that have to be a Jewish grandMOTHER?

 Yep. To qualify as Jewish for the Orthodox rabbis. Fortunately there are about 200,000 Russians in Israel who DON'T qualify as halachically Jewish and are Israeli citizens anyway, a cynical decision made years ago.

It occurs to me that Emily Samuelson might qualify. :EVILLE:

A move from Bates to Rumi would be a sad one for her, skating quality-wise! :(

He has a Facebook Fan Page.

He will probably post something to let us know his next step. That's how I find out Lionel and Brooke weren't together anymore.

One more couple to add at the long list of brake up this season.

How about Loren Galler-Rabinowitz. She should come out of retirement!

Am I the only one who didn't think this pairing was that bad?

Frieling and Rumi, that is.

Too bad he probably can't skate with Mysliveckova.

This decision was made because of the Holocaust.

And more specifically, the Nuremberg Laws (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuremberg_Laws).

I have a feeling that Israeli leaders who drafted the Law of Return (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_of_Return) back in 1950 didn't give much consideration to the implications for fielding teams in ice dancing and pairs. :shuffle:
