oh my gosh....please let me never see that skate

Shades of Lu Lu at 1997 Worlds. :(

I can't stand Morozov, but Miki doesn't deserve to skate like that.

OK, it's now being broadcast on TV Tokyo. Program is opening by talking about the "Road to Sochi 2014".

Mao was just not in the team this year. Perhaps she wanted to focus on the training? She has not done any shows this summer either, other than her own.

:scream: miki... she's two-time world champion for god's sakes...

Looks like Joannie's program element is very different from the oly season's? I wonder if she would compete at Canadian nationals and further more at Worlds. Her skating skills improved for the past couple of years are just too shame not to be seen on competing scene!

Joannie always skates well at this event - 1st in 2009, 1st in 2010, 2nd in 2011 behind Tuktamisheva. Very impressive considering she hasn't competed in official competition since the Vancouver Olympics and isn't training anywhere near as much as all the other Olympic eligibles she is competing against. Had she decided to continue on competing past the 2010 Olympics, she very well may could have won a World title, a 4CC title, and certainly more Canadian titles, as she is still very clearly Canada's best lady. Amazing! I really miss seeing her on competitive ice!

Was it the boob shaking?

What's even more interesting is that she uses it as a transition into a tano 2Axel. Joubert uses pelvic thrusts as transitions, so why not?:P

No, I don't have a link (using special software to view it), but you aren't missing much.

For the past 45 minutes, they've been telling the stories of different Japanese skaters. Yuzuru is being discussed right now. The competition was mentioned early on in the program, and eventually they will show it, but first we have to get through all the fluff it seems.

Edit: OK, that was weird. An hour and fifteen minutes of that, yet the actual competition isn't being broadcast for another few hours. Lovely.

Ouch for Miki!

Was it because of lack of practice due to not competing this season, or was it just a regular meltdown? Anyone knows?
