I enjoyed his new long program a lot. Maybe because I'm a sucker for all the Verdi operas but that music is so for skating/dancing...it's perfect! and Javi is a really good dancer
The short program...hmm, I dunno. He reminds me somewhat of Tim Goebel with rounded shoulders, and I don't think it lets him express his musicality much
Anyway, very different stuff from what he's been skating in the past. I hope the judges buy it, or at least he becomes comfortable with it

Two very nice programmes with great choreography! It seems as though he's still getting used to performing actual choreography between the jumps, hence the jump errors (?). Nonetheless, I'm really looking forward to seeing him throughout the season.

(Plus, he's HOT.) ;)

Love the short program! Very charming just like he is :swoon:

The Lp is not so memorable but still an upgrade from last year.

Que guapo es ese hombre :hat1:

I enjoy watching him skate, and hope the coaching through Brian will work out well for him.

i saw him skate yesterday, on a very crowded session. was too busy watching gao, but did get a glimpse of some nice 3 toe-3 toe combos. He was laughing and smiling - generally having a great time. looking very happy.

How was Christina skating? I haven't heard/seen much at all about her in the longest time, other than that she was out with a hip injury most of the summer. Was she doing all her jumps again?

she was doing the 3 flip 3 toe as easily as if they were singles...saw a few 3 toes/3toes as well, didn't see other jumps. she looks to be in great shape.

Great news! I guess that mean her injury must be much better and she should be set to go for her GP events :).

Best decision ever.
He's a different skater now. Much more sophisticated and now judges will take him seriously and not as a joke (I remember the drunk pirate and this horrible SP from last season).

Take that, Morozov!

Wisest decision in the past decade :cheer2:

I agree, he looks so much more sophisticated out there, totally different skater, and this is after such a short time. With a bit more time he is going to be even better, I can't wait to see how he does at worlds. Brain is a great coach.
