"The Ice 2011" highlight in TV program "Chukkyo Figure" broadcasted in July 27th

What impression do you have?
Nagasu: "There is some difference in the ages for me, but I am thinking that KimuTaku (Takuya Kimura) is cool".

Charity show happened in Hachinohe on July 27th. And it made people very happy!

They invited 1400 victims who lost houses or family by the earthquake and tsunami and live in temporary housing now. They also prepared 31 busses and lunch boxes for them.

Before the show, they made a skating lesson for children who practice figure skating and live in the disaster area. The children saw their stars with the sparkling eyes and said it was like in a dream.

For a lot of people, it was for the first time to see figure skating live. But elder people, children, adults, men, women and anyone said it in the interview that they got energy to live in a future and really appreciated it.

To all skaters, sponsors and organizers, thanks billions for making such a great present!:)

Video Clips

Thanks for the links.
These clips show what figure skating and figure skaters can do for people who are still suffering and still in pain and sorrow. They said they could forget about the disaster while they were watching the show. A lady said she was all in tears during the show. Look at the smiles on their faces and the sparkling eyes of the children! Mao's performance of "Jupiter" is like a prayer. Touching and moving, and also has hope and power for "tomorrow".

I didn't know that Kozuka's grandfather (a former figure skater and Kozuka had got a lot of support and inspiration from him. I heard they were close.) passed away the day before the show in Aomori.
My sympathies are with him.

Article on the show in Osaka

It specially mentions about Hanyu. He landed a 4-3 today.

Since the great earthquake hit his hometown, Hanyu had to move around seeking training rinks. He raised the success rate of quad jumps by observing other top skaters at various shows.

I went to see the 1st show in Osaka.

Mao Asada
She was wonderful to perform with full of her heart. It looked like feeling free from pressure for victories or 3A jumps and growing up from a cute girl to an elegant lady. Beautiful!

Takahiko Kozuka
His grandfather passed away a couple of days ago, but he did not show any sorrow on the ice, but performed energetic. His tough sprit will absolutely bring the next victory to him.

Yuzuru Hanyu
He made beautiful 4-3 combination! He is in hard after lost his home rink by tsunami but he has been doing his best and performing with heart and soul. I canít help cheering him up.

Qing Pang & Jian Tong
They caught hearts of a lot of people. Beautiful dreaming performance!
Wish Japanese TV broadcast pair skating more.

Jeffrey Buttle & Joannie Rochette
Thanks a lot for performing in humid Asia in the summer. They came to Beijing about 3 weeks ago and stay in Japan after that. I was wondering if they got tired, but skated wonderful and looked to enjoy performing.

Honestly Artistry on Ice in China was more gorgeous in lights and smarter in production. But now in Japan, it is very important to save electric power. And it is very nice all skaters were heart-warming and friendly in The Ice.
The company has one heart to make great charity shows for people affected disasters.

Anyway, some skaters tweet an earthquake happened when they were in Hachinohe. It was scaring especially for foreign skaters who had never experienced earthquakes. But no one cancelled the show, but presented a wonderful time to victims with their performances.

Thanks a lot for coming to Japan and supporting us!:)

Mao's dress is gorgeous.

I'm sorry I'm not in Osaka. There's a spectator's report that Hanyu has nailed a 4~3A sequence today. Also, his 4-3 of yesterday was a part of new SP. Looks like his 4T is becoming very reliable. He's also landing the 4S in practice regularly. Can't wait the new season. Before that, we'll be able to see his progress at Carnival on Ice with TV coverage.

I'm so glad to hear that Yuzudu does skate so well despite the difficult circumstances!
His Romeo and Juliet program :kickass: , I can't wait to see the full version and hope he will have enough strength to pull it.

I've heard that Sendai ice rink now already re-opened, is this true? I would jump with joy if it's true.

Heard via my Japanese contacts that Mirai Nagasu and Adam Rippon (as a suprise)performed a portion of Meryl Davis and Charlie White's Olympic SD at the end of the show yesterday. Sounds like Shae Lynn Bourne is having a major impact on Adam.

BTW, how did these two skaters in addition to Alissa Czisny do during the Ice? No one has mentioned their performances at all.

Jupiter and A whole new world.
