 Is it bestowed upon him as a result of the fruits of his squatting labor or from the marvelous Greek gods . . . who knows? There's no other way to say it other than it deserves a place along the SBOF (Skating Butts of Fame) along with other ample reared men a la Robin Szolkowy, Yannick Ponsero, Brian Joubert, and Maxim Trankov. One thing's for sure, one will never have a lack of support to hold onto when the mood presents itself. ;) There's something about those French names, I guess (Joubert, Ponsero, Poirier). :grope::smokin::hat1:

After reading your post, I did a search for photos of Paul.

Is this what you are talking about? ;)

Hmmmm ... I'm not clear on dual citizenship thing.
I always thought you could hold dual in Canada but not in the U.S.
If that's true, then Tanith "gave up" more than Kaitlyn.
Regardless, I've enjoying watching both of them and refuse to be drawn into an argument over who gave up more.

I'm pretty sure Tanith has dual citizenship.

PRESS RELEASE

We wish to inform all of our fans that we have decided to end our partnership. We will both seek new partners who are much less annoying, opinionated, stupid and bad-smelling.

"I hate his guts" spat Mary-Jane Pairs-Skater. "He's a filthy man-whore sure to die (hopefully sooner rather than later) from something surely infectious".

"Living Hell", Bob Partner-Less describes his time with Ms. Pairs-Skater. "Shrill-ness was surely her best quality. I'm hoping she loses her driver's license soon so that she has to take transit and will be much more likely to step in front of a moving bus".

Both former partners wish each other well in their future endeavours.

<rep rep rep> (because I still haven't upgraded to an account that can actually give rep)

The US does allow dual citizenship.

The US does allow dual citizenship.

Thought so. My friend from Germany got US citizenship and now has dual citizenship. I also remember an interview with Tanith saying that she was getting dual citizenship.

Once the US Justice Department decided not to fight multiple Supreme Court rulings over several decades, the US allows multiple citizenships; it ignores the others in almost all cases.

The U.S. allows joint citizenship with Canada. There are many Canadians/Americans with citizenship in both countries and with dual passports.

What's also odd about this is that Crone & Poirier had just recently posed for their new team photo :

That photo was taken at last season's high performance camp.

I enjoyed this team, yea they may have lacked some artistry, but their others skills were up with best. In particular I love Paul, I think he as the ability to grow more artistically than Vanessa (maybe, who knows what the future holds). He is also very handsome, and in a sport where presentation courts, that can't hurt. I think both partners are very strong skaters, but he may be just a little better. I just hope they can both find partners because it will be sad to see both talented kids likes these not competing.

I don't know what is out there for either of them in terms of partners. It really is hard for me to imagine there are viable partners for either of
them that is even close to as good as the partner they just lost. Not to mention the fact that they have skated with each other for so many years losing the comfort that can only come with time. Considering these facts it makes you wonder what really happened for this team to split. If one was done with skating and wanted to move forward with something like university that would be one thing, but for both of them to be looking for partners is another.

I will miss this pair for sure. As much as I like W/P and agree this year they were as good and sometimes better than C/P, I felt C/P had more "up" potential. I never see W/P making world podium unless the field is weak, I thought in time and the right programs C/P had a better chance of that, maybe never world champions but possible medalists if the cards fell right. I guess we will never know now.
