Maybe people stop reading them because they are filled with insults. Maybe people put that person on ignore.

MAYBE this thread resembles the carcass of a deceased equine and MAYBE it has served its purpose, with the actual reinstatement having been made?

:D I would agree with that assessment.

He was in Vancouver throwing things in the riot?

I don't think you should give him credit for that, i believe that honour is 100% for Vancouverites.

Watching old Jeffrey Buttle tapes with Alexei Mishin and trying to figure out what this "Transitions" thing is that they keep hearing about. :sekret:

Seriously, I agree completely that anything can happen between now and 2014. Chan looked very good this year, particularly toward the end of the year, but there are never any guarantees. Kurt Browing is a classic example of what can happen to an overwhelming favorite at the Olympics.

I am a technically unqualified skating fan who only re-discovered the sport as a spectator in Vancouver when I was totally hooked by Plushenko. After the Oly I watched every Plushenko video available. IMO a skater with such charisma--because -imo-- this is what truly sets him apart from the others- not just his skill, can only contribute positively to the sport. He attracts spectators and is a born performer, something that Chan still has to learn. How to perform, I mean, so far his exhibition programs have left me cold. Unfortunately you can't "learn" charisma.

ITA. (Though I prefer Chan to Plushenko.)

Okay, but they can't be identical if they're going to count.

Now that's a bad joke.
