I think they made an effort to put though more hip hop/different styles this year than in the past and made more people with obvious training go to choreography (like musical theater guy/Irish girl). They have a bio in front of them so I bet they know where these people say they have trained. The producers decide whether to cast the person as untrained street dancer even though their bio shows years of training in different styles (like Russell).
I think they may also be wary of performance ability, and the choreo round will tell them who can sell the dances on short notice.

That was a great roll-on-the-floor opener. I liked her.
Nigel you are a dirty old man.

Well, at least it's not whiny coffee house indie music. I'd put her through just for that.
It's too bad Pussycat Doll woman wasn't there to see that. She did all put claw suggestively and let loose a meow. I liked it, but I thought it was very high school dance team. A good high school dance team, but I'd have made her do the choreography to see if she could do more than strut suggestively.

What was his name? I smiled from beginning to end of his routine. This is why I love this show.

I love DC. And he did it to a classic song, which shows extra versatility.

Tyce is, like, SO BAKED, y'all. He got the GOOD SH*T this time. And he just wants to share with Nigel.

I'm surprised they put him straight through. I'd have sent him to choreography. But I guess the "baby" story put him through.
I also would have put future PCD to choreography as well, for the same reason Matry would.

I didn't think it was all that good. I thought the hip hops yesterday were far superior in entertainment, originality, and dance ability, especially Todd and the last hip hop guy.

Arielle needs to reconsider her shirt thing.

I didn't much care for Arielle's piece, particularly the weird slow walk forward.
But I agree that Tyce is totally stoned. :smokin:

I thought her hair needed work. She should have gone for pink instead of green.

i like the gold shiny jacket

I'm pretty certain I could do most of what some of these dancers do. I guess dance is very much open to interpretation.

Hero was great. She just needs some help with her makeup and a ticket to Vegas.

That was adorable. I don't think we've seen a girl pop/lock like that before, have we?
