Is there a-n-y evidence to that? No?
Yes, there is. The duct tape on the body was the same as in the house of George, Lee and Cindy, NOT Casey for one thing. That opens the door to them as potential suspects who could have had something to do with it. (This sets aside the question of whether it was a common brand of duct tape that anyone could have had and therefore anyone could be a suspect.)

There is also the blog post that makes a reasonable case for Caylee dying of an overdose of chloroform as part of some sort of child sex scene. In that case, it would be the pornographers/pimps who did the actual killing. Casey probably had something to do with the coverup but how much is unclear.

I really don't care of people think Casey is guilty. I think that is also a plausible scenario. The problem is, there are other plausible scenarios that also fit the evidence and the prosecution didn't do anything to show those theories weren't plausible or that the evidence was too compelling that those other scenarios paled in comparison.

I do have a problem with people saying the evidence ONLY points to Casey's guilt because there are clearly lots of other scenarios -- many discussed here -- that also fit the evidence. I also have an issue with people (of which there are several here) who imply or outright say that anyone who doesn't agree with their theory is an idiot who is refusing to look at the "facts" when the facts are actually rather thin on the ground. It's possible to disagree with someone without insulting them.

Wouldn't it be possible that Casey borrowed the duct tape (provided it was unique type of duct tape and Casey couldn't get her hands on it anywhere else).

I've read something about child porn and found it to be unsupported by facts. If there was anything to go on, don't you think prosecution would have pounced? There is clearly not enough to charge her with anything like that.

People (not just you MM) keep talking about Casey living apart from her parents. It's my understanding she lived in the same household except that she often stayed overnight with boyfriend(s) and other friends. Am I wrong?

That's a good question. I haven't been following the trial the way some of the posters here have, so I am sure we will get our answer soon. I did follow it the week of the verdict though as I was on vacation at the time.

I have to say, Judge Perry's poker face when he was flipping through the verdict pages was pretty amazing. Not a muscle moved on his face.

Casey had a bedroom at her parents and keys to the home. She also spend overnights and days with boyfriend(s).

Then she had access to the tape in her parent's house.

Yes.

I always wondered about her borrowing a shovel from her neighbor--and backing her car into the garage. From the neighbors pov, this was out of character for her.

Yes, Casey lived with her parents; I don't think Lee did though. She spent the night of June 15 at her parents' house before disappearing for the next month. A neighbor did see her car backing into her parents' driveway on the 17th - iirc they couldn't tell for sure that Casey was the one driving it, but not long after that Casey appeared and asked the neighbor to borrow a shovel. As for the child porn theory, the only thing that fits is that prior to Caylee's death, there were large swaths of time where Casey was supposedly at work and Caylee was supposedly with the nanny, and in truth Casey was out partying and Caylee was nowhere to be found. Did Casey drop her off at some predator's house during these times? However, I have a hard time believing that no evidence of this would have surfaced in the last 3 years. Also, Casey was stealing money more and more, from her family, her friends, even from her grandfather's nursing home fund. It seems to me that money from a child porn ring would have alleviated whatever financial issues that were causing her to steal from those closest to her, but who knows. On the other hand, friends said she was increasingly complaining about not having anyone to watch Caylee, and that guy she was so wrapped up with wouldn't let Caylee spend the night. In their instant messages, he constantly pressures her to drop what she's doing (watching Caylee) to come over, and often says he's losing patience with her. I think a likelier scenario than the child porn thing was that the real "zanny the nanny" was her car - as in, she was keeping caylee in it when she couldn't find someone to watch her). It's known that Casey spent the night of the 16th at the boyfriend's, after a huge fight with her mother the previous night. Cindy wouldn't watch Caylee, the boyfriend wouldn't let Caylee sleep over, so Casey had her sleeping in the car, possibly with chloroform to get her to go to sleep. It was summer in Florida... just a theory.

Seems as though cable stations, HLN at least, is covering her release all night. I don't think they'll get anything other than a car whizzing by.

Yes. There's some 'raw footage' at this link:

We live not 7 minutes from Orange County Jail. It's surreal to think Casey Anthony was that close-I never really made the connect until they said on the news that 'John Young Parkway' has been shut down! I don't get the folk who were there, a few hundred apparently shouting 'endearments' at her. :shuffle: I wouldn't waste the gas. Negative or positive, attention is exactly what Ms. Anthony craves. It seems some news crews also wasted time staking out the wrong plane.

The Casey Show to be continued.

"Sources have told WFTV that Casey Anthony boarded a plane at the Orlando Executive Airport at about 3:00 a.m. Sunday morning. WFTV does not know where the plane is headed. Sources, however, did say that the plane has a connection to an attorney formerly on her case."

She is gone from Florida...

She is gone from Florida...

Surprise surprise....

Did anyone really think she would stay there? They probably already had her a new identity before she left jail. In 3 hrs a lot could change appearance wise too.

I'm glad she will be draining another state's budget--she was expensive!
