You know, the reaction from the crowd was really telling. Practically silent for Chelsea and Mark, louuud for Kirstie and Hines.

I have a love/hate relationship with them. I thought they were dull, dull, dull at the beginning, but I liked it when Chelsea gently-but-firmly told him off, and then I went back to disliking her when the judges started overscoring her, which is not her fault. I think having Mark as a partner did her a great diservice. Maybe she and Louis van Amstel would have been better. Bet Louis thinks so too.

I do like Hines, but a win for Kirstie (and Maks!) would be beyond epic. If TPTB cared about future ratings and buzz, they would have done everything they could to make it happen.

Maks' expression was great. He looked very surprised. I bet Chelsea would have been gone last week without the 15 point gift.

I love how Warren Sapp called them out for that.

Maks is gonna have a shit fit. I think he might be done.

I'm glad Hines and Kirstie were 1 and 2, but I'd have preferred for them to be switched.

Wow, that's some rally

I'm going to guess right now Hines won. He was a favorite, and if he's not your #1, he's most fans' #2.

Told you so. :P Maks robbed AGAIN. #2 in votes, #2 in judges' scores.

Yeah, I think Maks is pissed. But he's being gracious. And at least they lost to Hines (okay, and the Steeler Nation). Not to Wonder Boy (really, I respected Mark a lot more when he had to actually WORK for it with Bristol and couldn't be a showboating clown.)

That comment certain did suggest Maks is done. But he HAS been doing this ten seasons* and he's not getting any younger, either.

*meant seasons, not years. So what, five years minimum?

Those 30 points for Hines were probably the difference. I'll be very sad if Maks doesn't come back, but I understand his frustration. I'm happy for Kym. If the producers don't finally get that the Ballas/Hough domination is driving the pros away, the show is going to have to resort to SYTYCD cast members.

I was ok with either of the teams winning. Would have liked to have seen Maks win his first and Kirstie came so far. But Kym's accident was beyond scary and the way Hines took care of her and cried after their Tango...:wuzrobbed I couldn't help but feel a little more for them. But overall, an excellent top 2 and they should all be so proud.

The first season was the summer of 2005

We already have 3 - Dmitri, Lacey and Chelsie

ETA: with the exception of Kym's two wins with Donnie and Hines, Hough/Ballas trio won all the seasons after season 3.

So, will we see an Emmett/Hines battle. They should bring back all the football players who have been on before and let that be a season in itself. People would totally watch that.
