R.I.P. Edward Hardwicke

Most people knew him best as Dr. Watson, I guess, but for me, more than anything, he was Warnie in Shadowlands (which I just saw again at a movie-viewing party last weekend). R.I.P.

I loved him in both roles. Rest in peace, and, condolences to his friends and family.

Edward Hardwicke was the best Watson.

He was an honorary member of the Sherlock Holmes society to which I belong. One of the committee members met him and said he was a very nice man in real life, and was happy to spend a lot of time being interviewed for the society journal.
