It is now 9pm and I am still alive. Sorry to disappoint you folks.

Did you expect to be one of the first to get called? I'd have been very disappointed in you if you had been. There's still six months to go.

Thank goodness the Rapture didn't happen, or I would have missed a great episode of Doctor Who.

At 6pm I was standing on the corner of my street watching the International Space Station pass across the sky (it was just a dot, but it was really bright).

Do you remember when the lady had a dream that a huge earthquake was going to hit the area, so she called the news and everyone freaked out? I didn't go to school that day either ;)

Oh yeah, we were off school two days for that. I was in 8th grade at the time. Seems like everyone was afraid something would happen with the mines if there was an earthquake.

The thing is nothing will happen to those who are not among the *saved* so the rest of us will just laugh and carry on. Until...:sekret:

And I'll still have to go to the stupid meeting today.

No no, there's an earthquake. One per time zone. I didn't know that the time zones lined up the tectonic plates, but there you go.

Oh wait......

I find this absolutely hilarious! Our church has had a number of series where we've looked at "end times" and every time we are told (and I've read) that no one and I mean NO ONE will know the time of the Rapture except for God the Father so this looney is not in left field, the ball diamond or the city. I'm not even sure he's from this planet :)

If anyone wants to share a good recipe for chocolate chip cookies, please post it in the thread or send me a private message.

:)

Here's a secret: Just follow the recipe on the back of the Tollhouse Chocolate Morsels bag.

Everyone raves about them, so I tell them my great-great-great grandmother carried the recipe in her bra across the Atlantic in steerage and through Ellis Island. ;)

They might have changed her name, but they sure as hell weren't changing her cookies!

PS - The better-half gets up MUCH earlier than moi on the weekends, so when I heard him futzing around, I asked "How's Sydney?"

Of course, his reply: "Who's Sydney?". So I knew things were ok. :)
