Party at my place? :watch:

I'll bring the tequila and Xanax. :summer:

Can anyone pick up a couple rotisserie chickens and some dip?

I hope the Higher Power uses a panel of drag queens for the swimsuit and evening gown portion of the judging.

What?!

My dear, haven't you heard? Some looney tune says that we are all gonna be "read" this Saturday at 6pm.......

.......and in October, we either get through the velvet rope or get sent someplace MUCH warmer! (No, not St. Barts......)

^I just asked my Vicar parents. They were rather hilariously scathing in their responses.

They have every right to be. This stupidity occurs several time a century. Nothing happens as predicted and all of the believers disperse until the next time some dimbulb concocts a time & place, then reassemble. It's would be rather amusing, if it wasn't so pathetic.

NJL (..or course, as one believer told me, we can scoff as long as we want, but we must always be right.....they can be wrong as many times as they want but they just have to be right once....:D...Yeah, I guess....:)...)

By the way, what is the dresscode for an apocalypse?

Whatever you were wearing when you first came into this world. ;)

No, it means you're a heathen, and will die a horrible death on Oct 21, 2011.

Great... that's my birthday. It would so be like my friends to use the apocalypse as an excuse not to bake a cake or buy me any presents.

Tomorrow's Rapture prediction is courtesy of Harold Camping (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harold_Camping), who is 89 years old and who previously predicted that it would be September .... 1994. Oops. He says he "miscalculated" that date. Somehow his prediction of the 6:00 p.m. time for this event proceeding around the globe, time zone by time zone, greatly lessens its "credibility" for even the most credulous, making God paying heed to man-made time conventions. Or maybe this is to allow for more orderly "seating" of the saved up in heaven.

I'm looking forward to less traffic and shorter lines afterward.

I'm looking forward to less traffic and shorter lines afterward. So you're assuming that a vast number will be "taken up"? That would make for more parking spaces ... now if I only had a car. Hmm, I guess there will be a lot of abandoned ones left behind. :shuffle:

Well, alternate side of the street parking (http://www.dnainfo.com/20110520/manhattan/alternate-side-parking-suspended-if-world-ends-bloomberg-says) will be suspended in NYC if it happens.
