If the smell of barbecue is a sign of the rapture, Reno is doomed! Bah, off to work

 Now I've got to go work off that pizza and ice cream I'd thought were guilt free last night.

And Miss Dog's toenails will need to be clipped after all. Bah, indeed.

Cant; say I feel one bit badly for those who quit jobs, gave away their money, etc, in preparation for being dead by now.

I would love to know how they feel now. I mean, talk about looking like a total idiot.

That Family Radio guy has always looked like a total idiot. He's certifiable.

Safe in New Jersey but at exactly 6:00, the sky got dark and we had a violent rainstorm.

Stephen Sondheim:

Iíve run the gamut,
A to Z.
Three cheers and dammit,
Cíest la vie.
I got through all of last year,
And Iím here.

Lord knows, at least Iíve been there,
And Iím here!
Look whoís here!
Iím still here!

'Twas a beautiful night south of Calgary. Took an evening stroll with hubby and granddaughter after a nice dinner dinner with her parents and my mother-in-law. If that was the end of days, I can live with it!

Still here.

Just came back from a rockin' wedding. The priest opened with some excellent rapture snark about how we weren't supposed to be there today but God must love this couple so much, an exception was made.

The reception was so much fun--we danced our butts off to the most excellent band ever. So if this is the end of the world, I'll take it. :P

My coworker posted a pic on Facebook of his sweater and jeans seated in front of an uneaten In-N-Out meal. I went, "And you didn't even get to eat your last In-N-Out! -tragedy-"

From the San Jose Mercury News (http://www.mercurynews.com/ci_18115168):

EAST BAY -- A magnitude 3.6 earthquake struck Contra Costa County at 7:04 p.m. Saturday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey, an hour after a doomsday prophet predicted a catastrophic temblor would rock the Bay Area.
There have been no reports of any damage or injuries, a Contra Costa Fire District dispatcher said shortly after the quake.
The quake could be felt 13 miles away in Oakland, the site of Family Radio's headquarters. The evangelical radio station's leader, Harold Camping, predicted the end of the world Saturday starting with a series of earthquakes from New Zealand to the Bay Area. He predicted a gigantic quake would hit the Bay Area at 6 p.m.
Tectonically, Saturday was fairly average around the world

In other news, my 6 (almost 7) year-old car hit 66,666 miles on the odometer just after 6 p.m. Coincidence? :saint:

3.6? Please. Most of us wouldn't even notice or think a big truck is going down the street. We probably get them twice a day here anyway.
