I've thought so since I first saw her.
They could be sisters.

And speaking of "twins" does anybody else see alot of Tessa Virtue when we look at Duchess Kate? Maybe it's just the long dark hair and perfect smile...both ladies so striking! :)

A word of warning about the What Kate Wore website...

RUN!!! RUN NOW!!! ONCE YOU CLICK, YOU'LL NEVER BE ABLE TO LEAVE!!!

;)

edited to add...Remember how impressed and surprised I was by William giving that shout out to the Recovery Efforts in the four Provinces hit so hard by Mother Nature this Spring in his Canada Day speech? And how I used Slave Lake being pretty much wiped out by a Forest Fire as just one of the ways the four Provinces mentioned were nailed?

I've seen that mentioned on the V&M fan thread and I honestly don't see it. Perhaps it's the long brunette hair because that is the only thing I see that the two have in common.

Also I have never got the Kate is stunning talk, IMO she is attractive and dresses nicely but IMO if she hadn't just married into the Royal family or was just a regular celebrity (actress, journalist etc.) I wonder if she'd be getting quite as much attention. I find Tessa the better looking of the two. :shuffle: :lynch:

Anyway, I won't mention it again as this is a fan thread. Sorry.

You know what Carmen I actually do agree with you about Kate, and will take it further and say that if I saw either her or Tessa in a random nameless photo, my reaction would be "pleasantly attractive" and that's about it.

I think in both cases what makes them "stunning" etc is how they put themselves together, their expressions, how they carry themselves, and what we can tell of their personalities. I think in Tessa's case her talent and achievement contribute to the overall effect - people who are driven and accomplished come alive and become more attractive to many of us. And of course in Kate's case, it's what's to become of her that makes her exciting - she's living a life and has a life ahead of her that makes her much more interesting, and therefore attractive to many of us.

To me, it's their personalities. I've noticed when you get both of them animated and just chatting naturally and not something formal and put together, the both of them just start to have this glow about them. That's what makes them stunning to me. :)

Anyone else see William take a shot (literally) at Road Hockey? W/a little bit more practice, he'd have a slap shot I'd be scared to be in front of. :D

Carmen, a lot of guys think Kate is hot. Not beautiful but hot. I think she is attractive, has great style and figure (although she has been a tiny bit too thin lately IMO) and is charming and approachable.

The caption for the video over at the CBC cracked me up...

William 0 Goalie 3

He didn't miss by too much that one time, but never should have tried to go five hole w/his second shot. Goalie will get you every single time when it's 1 on 1 like that. :D

A good friend of mine is from Slave Lake... his parents lost their home and everything they own in the fire. They just found out they have been chosen to meet Will & Kate tomorrow and his mom is thrilled. :)

How wonderful for them.
I hope that it will be a great memory, in the midst of something so awful.

Oh, what a wonderful thing for them. As I said earlier, that poor town literally got wiped off the face of the Earth and it's a real sign of what kind of people William and Kate are that they'd use what was supposed to be their day off, to go to Slave Lake.

Well, if there's a little royal bundle of joy appearing around April 2012, I say, with glowing heart: "Blame Canada!"

But seriously, how romantic does an evening on a secluded island in the middle of a forest sound? :swoon:
