I'm so impressed that Duarte/Grafton have stayed together for so long. Hope it ultimately pays off for them.

Weren't Denney/Coughlin supposed to skate at the Broadmoor Open? Interested to know any details of how they look...

No, they are scheduled to debut their SP at Liberty in a couple of weeks.

Duarte/Grafton skated a VERY impressive SP at Broadmoor Open, landing their first-ever throw triple loop attempt in competition, and won the Junior Pairs SP event this past weekend. Their music is "Meditation from Thais" by Jules Massenet.

I've never seen this team skate, but I'm a fan just because they've been together so long and stuck it out for quite a while and are still improving. Go Duarte & Grafton!

Me too! And I really like them as a pair, I thought their SP at nationals was gorgeous. I love Kylie's long lines and balletic posture. I only wonder if she will outgrow Colin, she's been looking very tall recently and I think Colin has stopped growing at 6', someone a few inches taller might be a better match but hopefully things will work out.

Denny and Coughlin just skated fantastic for a first outing! Sky-high triple twist, throw triple lutz, side-by-side triple toes to...East of Eden. And it worked for me.

Was it a true lutz? Caydee always did throw flutzes with her previous partner.

I think the video is posted in the Liberty thread. Go take a look. They look really good together, especially for only 2 months as partners!

In addition to the new team of Denney/Coughlin, the US Senior pairs scheduled to compete at Indy Challenge on Friday/Saturday are:
Vise/Baldwin S6 at Nationals (Skate America)
Davis/Leftheris S7
Donlan/Speroff S8

olympic, I'm sure we'll hear more about Davis/Leftheris if they compete at Indy as planned.
