I have heard that Caitlin is quite out of shape and would require months to just be able to skate at a reasonable level. So the points above are mute.

You mean MOOT? And no, she's not in competition shape, but she's in shape. She'll be fine for the fall season should the opportunity arise.

I wish that the "points" you make were the same.

Hilarious!! Though I don't think I'd allow someone to skate in my $1300 jacket, $300 shorts, and $2900 tutu. (Although, come to think of it, elite skaters do that sort of thing all the time with their blinged-up outfits worth thousands of dollars.)

Too funny. I'm rather astounded that Taylor was able to get that guy up into that lift -- wow.

And yet we often talk about the men not being strong enough to lift their partners. I think they are plenty strong- there are clearly just so many other factors when it comes to a competition program. (Which just means they need to be stronger, and have effortless muscle memory for the lifts, I guess.)

I have noticed (through facebook) that pairs guys enjoy lifting each other (off ice) when they are drinking. I think I've seen every lift imaginable done by sets of drunk guys. And when they are bored at shows, they seem to lift each other too.

You forgot about the comparably affordable $80 bandeau top.

You do realize that those aren't legal pair lifts, not even group 1 or 2, and rely on the liftee resting on the lifter's body, not on the lifter's arm strength?

They could be used as transitions in a pair program, or maybe level 1 dance lifts in a dance program.

You might see similar approaches to women lifting men.
