I still think AJ Reiss would make a good partner for Caitlin Y.

Their heights would not be complimentary.

ITA. AJ Reiss is a beautiful skater. He has great posture, secure feet, and good extension. Seems secure in jumps and lifts too. For those that haven't had a chance to watch this team's first international competition, please watch! They did a good job landing the 3sal and 2a/2a sequence. They have good flow and good unison. I look forward to seeing them develop.

^AJ had a tryout with Caitlin last year. It obviously didn't pan out

I would only support Tim pairing up with Caitlin if he can lift her easily. He looks slight thru the upper body [from what I saw]

How did the size of his previous partner compare to pairs girls?

I only met her once, and she seemed to be "normal" size, slender but not ridiculously tiny- but since I am freaking short, I have a skewed perception of what tiny is. (Lauren Gifford was also not what I'd call small, though of course, she was slender.)

Cassie, at 18, very likely had her final growth spurt last year. As of Monday, she was no more than 5'2", and she's very slender/fit with some curves. (Check out the black velvet onsies she and Tim rocked in their Short Program at nationals. They both rocked them!). Her icepartnersearch.com bio says 107 Lbs. She definitely doesn't appear to be more than that.

For an adult (growing finished) high level pairs skater, Cassie's in the average-to-taller half of the bunch, and the average-to-smaller half for weight. These assessments are based on seeing 14 years of Indy Challenge pairs competitors each year. She's about the same size/height as Caitlin. (I think both are about 5'2").

Do you know if Cassie has had any tryouts?

Watching Nats, it looked as if Tim labored (if you want to call it that) a bit more with 5-2 Cassie than Josh did with 5-6 Ashley. That's to my naked eye and I'm no expert, though.

I'm not aware of any, but I'm only at the rink during the crazy-busy early evenings or dark-o-:30 AM hours, when tryouts would not take place. If it comes up in conversation with her and anything turns out to be very promising, I'll drop a line :)

I heard from a Russian poster that Lubov/Nodari have split, and Nodari is looking for a new partner. Does anyone think Nodari and Caitlin can be a good match? Will either federation ever release one of them?

:( :( I really liked them, I thought they had a lot of potential (especially if she was ever able to get her jumps reliable).

But as for Nodari and Caitlin, kwanfan1818 said it; when hell freezes over. I don't see either of them ever being released from their respective federations.

If they wanted to get together she will be realease soon anyway if the federation liked it or not. But they would not make a good pair.

When is "soon"? USFS said they were going to hold Morgan Matthews for four seasons.

I thought it was 24 months?
