Donlan and Speroff landed sbs 3toes in the s/p warmup and Easterns and sbs 3toes and DA combo in the long program warmup. All were well executed. It did not appear that they even tried the sbs 3toes in either program. They did the DA combo, she singled. It looks like the mental block appears to be when they put the jumps in their programs, not the jumps themselves. Hopefully landing them in the warmup is a step in the right direction. IIRC by nationals last year they did land them in their programs at nationals, although not perfectly.

Hopefully they can continue to build their confidence over time, because everything else is sooo good.

I think they got URs on their SBS jumps at Nationals last year. She cheats a lot of her jumps in a pretty obvious way.

I just really hope they don't get discouraged! I don't know why they didn't even get a Senior B this fall.

^ I assume that their coaching team would ID the jump problem and work hard towards solving it [jump doctor or sports psychologist]

That's a shame, hoping they are ready for San Jose with this time off.:)

Makes you wonder if this is his old shoulder injury?

I love S/B skating. Their long program is to die for. It's so nice to see her emote to her partner for a change.

ITA!

Britney looks like a new skater with Matt. They're my favorites to win Junior Pairs in San Jose.

I agree as well. I was not familiar with Matthew. While I liked to watch Britney there was always something missing. This guy adds a lot and they both seem to really connect. I think Duarte and Grafton will be tough as well though.

Not sure where you have been, but Simpson did a beautiful job emoting to Nathan LOL

Just didn't see much of a connection. Nathan is stronger though. I hope these two can grow together. Doesn't look like there is much depth at this level.

I'll be rooting for Duarte/Grafton. I have a soft spot for teams that have been together for a long time. They're pretty inconsistent though; I think S/B are the favorites.
