Another new Novice pair is Danielle Viola/Alex Johnson - they skated their SP at Pikes Peak Classic this past weekend and scored 29.69. She was 5th in Novice Pairs at Easterns with Peter Lindstrom last season. Alex is not new to pairs -- he competed at the 2004 and 2005 U.S. Junior Figure Skating Championships in juvenile pairs with Chelsey Jernberg.

I heard Evora/Ladwig debuted their programs at their home club competition in Florida this past weekend (~57 in SP, ~107 FS).

Not too shabby for a first competition, score-wise!

Thanks for posting this information. I meant to do it but have been crazy busy lately.

Their SP was clean aside from Amanda's 3T being downgraded but they did have a few issues with their LP (not sure of the exact mistakes) so that score is pretty good for an LP with some errors. Apparently they were busy with some extra responsibilities for this competition this year and weren't able to be as focused as they normally are, so I expect them to have much better outings in the future. I can't wait to see their LP! :)

^ I have a feeling that Nats will be a competition between D/C and E/L with those 2 teams going to Worlds. Obviously, too early to say this as a definite but who can challenge them? Unless, C/S and M/B improve dramatically [C/S definitely need to land the big moves - SBS jumps and throw 3x; Marley needs to catch up as a pairs lady quickly] However those 2 teams only have 1 GP assignment to do it

For anyone who's on Facebook, someone was wonderful today and posted a video of their SP from this past weekend. Here's the link to Amanda & Mark's FB group and I posted a link of the video in the first post. Yay! :cheer:

Heather, I'm not seeing any link to their video in your postings there today. But, I'm fairly incompetent with Facebook, so perhaps I'm not looking in the right place?

I didn't see it, either.

Nope. I get that the content is unavailable.

I tried both links and the video is there both times so maybe you have to be logged into Facebook to see it? I don't know. The guy who posted it made it public so it should definitely show up there. I'll see if I can find it on You Tube.

My bad. He only shared it with his friends and Amanda & Mark's friends so if you're not in either of those groups, it may not show up for you. I'll see if I can get a better link from Amanda & Mark's FB page...bah, that didn't work either.

Oh, I shared it on my own FB page so if you're friends with me there, the link should be on my page. Let me know if that works. So frustrating to have a video and no way to share it! :(

It's interesting Kemp and King got credit for the double Axels in their short program. Good for them.

Bu the overall score less then 108 points is pretty terrible.
