That was Matt and he did get one.
Ah, thanks for the heads up. I guess I was confused. Still getting to know who's who.

Looking forward to tonight's show.
Me too! :D

Also noticed that Chris Harrison is turning into a younger Dick Clark. The hair has REALLY been dyed. . .

Don't you have to be gay to have gaydar???

P.S. I've never liked the first night where people crawl over each other to speak to the Bachelor/ette. Last week wasn't too bad for a season opener. But I just had an idea. How about the Bachelorette gives out roses whenever she feels a connection with a guy and then he leaves the party and moves into the house. Until there's only 10 guys left and the Bachelorette gives out five roses and sends the other five guys home. I hate seeing people fighting for a chance to talk to the Bachelorette, people interrupting a moment, guys who already have a connection trying to make more of a connection...

We all want a more civilized program, correct???

Nope. I'm all about the opening night sequins & drunks fiasco. :40beers:

Ok, Mask Guy is totally making fun of "the process' and I'm actually starting to love him for it!

It probably helps. I really do not have a functioning gaydar, so unless you're super flamboyant or wearing a t-shirt that says "I'm gay," I probably won't realize it. I had a huuuuuuge crush on a guy all through college and never once did it occur to me. . . (there was very, very little dating on my campus; it was a peculiar situation, so, no, there wasn't really an occasion to learn these sorts of things. And I *did* sort of go on a date with him. . .)

I kind of wish the first cut didn't happen until after a couple of evenings. I'm with you, PeterG--all this tripping over each other to try to make an impression is idiotic. Plus it leaves out some people who might actually have some personality. Or intelligence. Or the ability to carry on a conversation without using the words "journey," "connection," or "fairytale." Then again, those kinds of people don't apply for this show.

Dumbest first date ever! I feel bad for William, he had the "deer in the headlights" look in that chapel.

Mask guy annoys me although I was  at the mask over hat combo he was sporting.

Enough of this boring date.

they need to show the guys back at the bunkhouse, being stupid. Preferably by the pool, shirtless.

When you see the guys back at the bunkhouse, you can understand why these guys become such great friends. They end up spending much more time with each other than the bachelorette!

I could do without the screaming fans of Ash all over the place. Or the trip to the altar on the first date? :P

Wonder if Ash's dad is okay with her outing his drunken behavior on national tv?

:( William. What a sad story about his dad.

I hate that they have some type of performance date every season now.

ooh YES where it gets so hot they almost have to strip down to NOTHING plus with the sun blazing down, they would need super slippery suntan oil cuz you know you don't want anyone burning and they help each other and slather up and down and in and out...

oops

wrong video

Ashley signed up for this show knowing the edit could go south quick like and guys not being into her but man, this whole Bentley is a douche is almost painful to watch.

Hope she does have a final 1 and feels good about it as hearing these sound bites from Bentley has to be hard.

I hope she dumps Mickey at the end of the date - this 'flip a coin' thing is really dorky.

Oh look - Batman's got some featured time in his dorky hat...

Mickey is cute, but coming across as boring. Of course the flip a coin thing doesn't help. Someone remind me, is it typical for every date to have some sort of gimmick? Or is this special for Ashley?
