ITA, but then there was the year (2004, I think) she skated to that Vanessa Mae mess that included "Mulan" and "Turandot" along with some other :yikes:tracks.

Yes, I remember that. I think she was 16/17 back then so I think we can forgive her for that ;) Apart from that, her choices have indeed been very sophisticated and I like that she often chooses unknown and unusual pieces. I loved her Riders on the Storm SP and I hope the new one will be similar. Can't wait to see her step sequences to Shostakovich's Trio :kickass:

I've seen a video of him playing Beethoven Concerto with the Verbier Orchestra...it's so wrong in every sense:o:o no comment!

Oh dear. I've no idea who this guy is, but when I read the news on icenetwork, especially Richard saying this: "It's a rendition done by David Garrett, a violin virtuoso who does a lot more contemporary-sounding classical pieces," I instantly thought: another Edvin Marton!!! Nooooooo! Although I don't even mind his music that much, having it rammed down my throat for seemingly years on end is the problem.
From what you say this Garrett person sounds worse. :scream:

Marton or Garrett are equally dreadful for me.
If you want to hear a great violinist who adds sth contemporary to classical music, maybe Nigel Kennedy or Gilles Apap
