I can't wait to see the short program!

Me too! The Canadian pair John Mattattal & Mylene Brodeur used Chambermaid Swing in 2008. It was really enjoyable and the tune stuck in my head for three days at Canadians.

The music hurts my ears, and the choreography looks craptastic. I'm hoping this is not his SP for at least it's only a very, very, very rough cut of it.

I don't like the music much, either; I doubt that's the actual competitive version of it (maybe it more accurate to say, I hope it isn't). I guess after doing two programs outside his comfort zone last year - and not having much success with one of them - Joubert's gone back to doing what he likes.

I'd love to see P/B's SD that they did in Epinal.

Part of this show was on Vosges Tv this morning and there should be a replay today at 0:05 here http://www.vosgestelevision.tv/
I really hope to see new SD from P/B there:)

Joubert's SP is way too Chazz Michael Michaels to be taken seriously.

You´re not being fair. How could you not love that traditional fist pump to the crowd to introduce the start of his step sequence.:D

 But in 2010 his music was at least listenable...but THIS ONE is a eyesore!:blah:
If he wanted to be competitive this year this is not a good first step...
It reminds me of ponsero sp in 2009...horrible...:dog:

Hopefully, for Brian, he just took the I&K route to introducing his new program (using fake music and fake choreography).

That's what I don't understand. Isn't the purpose of these exhibitions to get new programs out there? Do they not get feedback about levels? If so, it doesn't make sense to use fake choreography. I think the fake music thing is :blah: too, but that's another issue.

Very fresh way to intoduce a new program :D

No, it's the costume that will likely be an eyesore :D

I don't like the music, but after last season it was kind of to be expected that he'd revert to this sort of thing. Maybe skating to something like this makes him more comfortable/happier on the ice?

What I'm hoping is that this being a gala, the program didn't have all the content while including a lot more mugging for the audience than the competitive version will have. I really hope this is true. I guess we'll find out in less than two weeks...

I really like Brian. A lot. I really want to root for him. I'd love to see him have a :kickass: season.

He doesn't make it easy when he skates to programs like that. :wall:
